I am from Norway and has been a fan of The Warriors since I first saw it in the early 80s. I must have seen it 30-50 times!
Since I was very young I have always wanted to go to New York and find some of the movie locations. My first time in New York (March, 2001) I was not able to find any. Of course I could have gone to Coney Island, that one is hard to miss, but I did not get the time. Still, my wife and I took the 5 train towards The Bronx and Dyre Av. just to get the feeling of taking the same route up to the meeting. We did not go all the way to the final stop, but ended up visiting Bronx Zoo and tour the area...
After visiting this site and picking up directions to the different movie locations (thanks alot everybody!) I was able to see some of them in May this year. My wife came along and we visited Riverside Park (the meeting), Evergreens Cemetery (The graveyard scene) and walked passed the 72nd Station. A great experience!
I posted some photos at http://stillwellavenue.blogspot.no/ Hope you like it.

Great 1st post and good photos. That's what we like to see.
It's a shame you missed this location, as it's very close to where you were at the cemetery.

Wow 9D, that looks like an outstanding location to get
jumped, mugged, raped or any other number of unpleasant
occurances! Is that a location from the film? I am drawing
a blank.

It's the "Nowhere to run" scene where they briefly shelter from the rain.
The other side of this short walkway is a more respectable and less scary looking fast food place.
The Turnbulls scene was filmed just across the road from here as well.

Thanks. That was one of my guesses. I just remember a tunnel
that was bigger (and arched I thought) during that scence. Time
to watch one of my favorite movies again I think.
