emissary already explained it. That bottle was for one purpose, for defense. Since it was for that one purpose, it's a weapon. Snow wasn't carrying the bottle around his neck for drinking purposes.

I never implied that I wouldn't use the bottle. It was clever.

I have to disagree, Cleon said he didn't want anyone packed or flexing muscle-and IF you believe they follow the leaders orders--if you believe that the bottle was only for defense, or that they would have brought it home full---IF the night had turned out differently for them, you are being obtuse to the obvious.

well, he's wrong, (again) and so are you!!
no it wasn't!!
the script says, and i quote, " winebottle canteen, tied by thong over one shoulder." and NEVER makes a reference to it being a weapon.
and cleon makes it very clear, (just like in the movie) NO WEAPONS!!!
and as RG, and harley have pointed out, the book states that the booze bottles, WERE TO DRINK!!!

The script and shm don't lie. I'd say Case closed. (I used to think the same till I read the script a while back) :D

i wouldn't disagree about it being alcohol, blondie, but it was still a weapon. the way snow pulled it from his neck at the first sign of trouble and the way swan automatically knew to light the match......in unison.......shows that this was some sort of plan they had.

They've probably done it before when they fought other gangs, they're so used to fighting that their actions are instinctual now.

Of course you wouldn't, because that is exactly what it was-everyone knew it was alcohol--and I never said it wasn't a weapon--I said they didn't bring it along to be ONLY a weapon---they really brought it drink, and it happened to come in handy for another purpose.

Of course they worked together--you think they have never fought befoe either?? OR that they are just stupid and wouldn't know about M.cocktails--get real----They are brothers within the gang--and being that you must know they have stratagized before at some point in time---even if they have never had to use it before. NO one ever said they wouldn't use it as a weapon--Just that it wasn't brought along to be a weapon!! You are still being slow to understand the obvious. AND capitalize that B--when you use it as a name!! or you really are slow to understand!

be truthful wolverine.are you one of these punks that have joined this site in conection with the game?it looks to me as though you are.this is your chance to prove me wrong.as regards your facts dont take someone elses word for what you hear unless you know them well enough to know they have a good knowledge of the film.

i feel theres a lot of animosity aimed at the veterans of this site and its really starting to tick me off. :!:

Yo SHM, don't worry about it, Blondie ain't any kind of insult, you should take it as a compliment. Blondie is one of the coolest characters to grace the screen. Ain't that right Tantive?! 8) ;)

lol, you guys are ridiculous. blondie isn't an insult, its the color of your hair. i had no idea you were so sensitive. there was no reason for any disrespect towards me, as i didnt attack anyone. there are no 'positions' on the board. i don't care if you've been here a long time, we're just discussing a movie.

i didnt hear anything from anyone else, so i dont know what that one guys talking about. im not doubiting the alcohol was to drink, but im just saying this little manuever had been done before and was previously planned.

what is it with most of you newbies coming to this site and stirring up trouble.if youre trying to move out the veterans of this site then youre very much mistaken.

i feel the discussion turns away from the film to personnal vendettas.and the vendettas are aimed straight at the veterans.if you wanna fight them or take a piece of them do it through private message or msn, yahoo, aim or whatever else.but dont dont do it here.this is a specific site for DEDICATED FANS to share their discussions on the film they like to watch the most.

i,ll tell you this straight also.if the site was mine and i were the owner i,d kick you out of it without a blink of an eye.i adapt a zero tollerance attitude.my point is no newbie is forcing me to LEAVE this site for anything.i,m sticking around so all you newbie game lovers who know sweet fa about the film better get used to the idea!

oh and by the way wolverine you are part of the newbies i,m talking about.i accept your reasoning on snow and swan did practise the molotov move before hand yes.but you have to realise and take this note so it sticks in your mind NO ONE AND I REPEAT NO ONE USED THE BOTTLE AT THE MEETING AS A WEAPON.why dont you look at the rogues who brought the gun to the meeting and ACTUALLY shot cyrus rather than try to pile all the blame on the warriors.

You guys really got it deep with this guy, huh?

You know coming to think about the molotov cocktail bomb, it would've been more convincing that it indeed was a booze bottle if at some point they drank from it, but that never happened. It is similar to the radio that Snow carries around in those deleted scenes. I bet is that the Turnbull ACs end up with the toy.

It looked like a wine carrier to me, one that they poured into out of a bigger bottle, for carrying--used to have one similar for concerts and movie sneaks.

I thought he dropped it going through the wooden fence to get to the cemetary when the conclave blew up. Did he still even have the boombox when they were running from the ACs?? Having it would have slowed him down some I would have imagined.
