I do agree that there should be no-name actors for the most part. I at least would like to see Cyrus and the DJ played by big names. The Rock would be my first choice for Cyrus just because their faces bear a stroing resemblance and the Rock always plays as a "tough guy" in movies. I think Macey Gray would be good as the role of the DJ. (no I am not a fan of Macey Gray)

CANYOUDIGIT had some nice ideas.... I have a strange feeling that Method Man, Eminem, 50cent, Llyod Banks, and maybe the Diplomats(atleast Jim Jones) will be cast in the film, some as Warriors and some as other gang members. I say this because these are the rappers that show the most interest in the original movie. only time will tell.

I think Eliza Dushku would make an awesome Mercy. If anyone ever saw an episode of Buffy or Angel with eliza's character, Faith, in it, you'd know what I'm talking about the attitude. If they made a version with the same exact script, with maybe some of the lines updated, i could totally see her telling the Warriors "Just keep walking. Real tough muthas, aintcha? You guys don't show me much. Why don't you ****heads just walk all the way back home, huh?"

i definatley think, without a shadow of a doubt, that unknown actors should dominate the remake...oh definatley!!!!!!!

also, i would hope for a simple script and realistic fight scenes, rather than a modern day over the top cocky action film style fight scene. blah that was a tongue twister.

when i was marching around ny on hols...when me and my mates were walking around i was pretending we was in a gang in the warriors and was thinking of costume designs in my head...tight blue t shirts and baggy blue jeans is an effective simple idea for another gang.

Christopher Matterson would be great for the "Bad-Ass" personona for the character Ajax, in the new movie. The only problem he might be a little to old to play a teenager. Although, he a does a fine job in "That 70's Show".

As much as no name actors would be "cool" for this 2006 remake, it wont work in the case..movie budgets nowadays are way too high to take a risk at no-name actors...the movie companys in this day and age need big name stars to sell their movies..this movie wouldnt be able to sell itself on just it name alone even though it was popular back in '79 it wont reach the modern day movie goer on its 1979 reputation alone.. take the movie "the longest yard" for example, very popular in the 70's, yet was star-studded in the remake for marketing and advertising reasons

yeh i was thinkin that i think they should have unknown stars mature in there late twentys not sum kids or superstars because i counld harly see elijah wood playin one of the warriors or kevin costner
