The Warriors 2006 premiere night...in America

Yo..

Whats good boppers? This is ya boy knowledge here...

I live in Japan but I'll be flying out to the premiere in LA. There's going to be one at Mann's Chinese Theatre, and another one the day after close to The Beverly Center (all are Hollywood locations).

If anyone is down to go, lemme know. We can meet up somewhere and roll out deep. I hope to have my vest by then. If not, I'll be a Baseball Furie, my Jersey is coming next-Wednesday.
I'll have the best tickets and seats. I hear Micheal Beck and Walter Hill will be in attendance too. Tony Scott invited them both over the phone when he was filming near North Hollywood High School. Even though Beck lives in upper north-west, he'll come on down to see this.

Lemme know your thoughts.

Also------this invite isnt directed towards Americans only, anyone who would like to come to the premiere is more that invited/welcome.

Sounds cool, and I live relatively close, but I don't really want to spend a ton of money on a premiere of this movie, which I'm not sure if I want to see. Could I ask when it is?

How's Japan? I'd like to go someday. I'm assuming you speak Japanese, correct? I can speak and write just a little bit...

The premiere is set for Aug 13th 06. But the actual date isnt set in stone. The final printing date is set for Sep 9th 06. It'll take a month for the film to clear FCC, and be screened by all of the qualified/authorized show theatres. 19 films will be shipped to such places as New York (7), California 8, Austrailia (1), Texas (1), Las Vegas (2).

I will post a thread letting boppers know how many tickets will be up for grabs later.

This event wont be free but it wont be expensive either.

Can I ask how you happened to come by this information? After the financial fiasco that was Domino (did it even make 100 grand domestically?), I think Tony Scott would be better served praying that ANYONE will finance his films in the future, rather than planning the world premier before he even has a script, let alone a cast.

I work for Sony Studios. I work at the picture lot too.

My cousin works in the Internal Managment branch. Paramount has an office at the Sony lot.

When a film is set down to start production, a strategic guideline is put down. This is an estimated timeline from start to finish. Like I said, nothing is set n stone, but this is just the plan.

Also,

Lion's Gate might jump onboard.

So, is there a timeline on when they're gonna start casting? Thats usually the best indicator that a film is actually gonna get made.

Well, the SAG that Im apart of hasnt released any casting calls as of now.

Whenever they come out, they wont be open I can tell you that much.

Scott might start in the early new year.

Domino was garbage,and Tony Scott is going to ruin this Warriors film.
But I am not going to hold my breath.. I bet that they are going to get every HipHop Rapper and MTV Personality to push this retardarama version to the point that we get sick of it!! I can even picture it now

I would love to see Michael Beck and Walter Hill, but I won't watch this. This is the only topic on the forum that I don't visit every day, I don't like to talk about this movie because I'm still hoping it won't be made.
