You should post a pic of your stuff...I have a laserdisc on the way and I'm hoping to find a CED version of it eventually. I thik the holy grail for me would be the 8-Track.

zubi q a betamax is a tape thats slightly larger in size than VHS think it was made by sony, when video tapes first came out u either had VHS or betamax, they were in compition and VHS won. Think thats correct anyway.

Beta are smaller then vhs and they were a much better picture. I think the people who pushed VHS had better advertising.

I have most Warriors collectables including the CED. I'm gonna add some pictures tonight ;)

And this year DVD is starting to be replaced by HD-DVD or Blu-Ray. At least they are backwards compatible with DVD.

It's sort of sad how everything is all, "Out with the old, and in with the new". VHS is going out, and DVD is the new thing...any time I go to rent a movie, I usally am only lucky enough to find a DVD copy of the film. I think that I like VHS better then DVD, especially when I am renting a movie, because a lot of people are very careless with DVDs and they end up getting all scratched and ruined, so they begin to skip. It depends if it's a movie that I just plan on watching the film alone, or if I want to see more then just the regular film. DVDs are also easier to accidently ruin. But the again, DVDs do have a much better picture.

your right fox, but the reason beta isnt around is because its more expensive than VHS. thats why VHS became more of a household product. but since the quality was so much better, many news stations still use betamax until this day!! and thats my fact for the day ;)

i remember when my house got robbed they stole our betamax and since we paid so much for it. when we got our nisureance we had enough for a vhs player and a 27 inch tv hah

I actually have a friend who swears by betamax, and would never think of using VHS. She says beta simply blows it away. She's not even that old either, late 30s. She records on beta (they still sell blank beta tapes) but buys new movies on DVD.

I still have my old laserdisc player, I used to swear by laser. Still have all my discs. Letterbox (almost always), special features, great picture and sound, it was the late 70s-mid 90s best kept video secret. I'd never rent a VHS film if it was on laser. My only gripe was having to turn it over after one hour, but that was really no big deal (the more expensive ones you didn't have to turn over).

I think VHS will be around for a while longer because it's so easy to tape crap on, especially for those who can't afford or don't want to bother with more expensive methods. A good VCR costs so little, easy hookup, rewind and watch. I have a DVD recording deck but still use the 'ol VCR to tape.
