Have any off you seen something or read something and realised that its been directly influenced by 'the warriors'? if so, what are they?

These are somethings ive seen -

- In the UK in Brighton theres a shop called 'urban warriors', on the sign next to the shop name theres the outline of the warriors. (the scene were there walking through the fun fair.

- The UFC (ultimate fighting championship) had an event named 'The Warriors Return' which had the name written in the warriors style, It was basically promoting a fighter called phil baroni who is known as 'the new york badass'.

- Theres a punk band from the 80s (?) called 'The Riffs'

- And offcourse theres the Eminem music video!

oh and

- 'Counting crows' covered the song "Big Yellow Taxi" and it shows them walking down the seafront in what looks like coney island and you can see the fair ground and wonder wheel in the background.

- 'one day savior records' (http://www.onedaysavior.com/) used to have the wonder wheel as part of the website design.

I get a slight Warriors feeling while playing Manhunt. I've heard rumours the Warriors Game could be based around the same basic idea as Manhunt.

FECK!! That guest was me. I keep on getting disconnected and it automatically logs me off. Anyway, I have found a site about Coney Island in Ireland. It may not be very interesting, but it's pretty cool that CONEY ISLAND NY was named after CONEY ISLAND IE. Yes, it's true. Have a read.

There's a holiday town in England called Southport and on the amusement park is an old ride called 'caterpillar' which has a plaque saying that it's from Coney Island.
I can't help but start with quotes from the film everytime I see it

Also...
Back in the early 80's in the town I lived in at the time a local 'gang' (in reality just big kids thinking they were hard) adopted The Warriors name and used to spray paint W in a circle all over the place... they called themselves the L.A. Warriors with L.A. standing for Lower Audley which was the area of town they were from...
After a couple of years they grew up or something cos they just faded away from view....

I met Booker T and asked him if he got the line from the movie. He said he got it from Shaft but I think he was lying.
