Manhunt

Post by Jigsaw »

This game by Rockstar came out in about 2002 - 2003. I just beat it two days ago. Personally my favourite videogame of all time. Anyone else ever play it?

Oh, just for people's info.. Manhunt: You are 'James Earl Cash'. Setenced to death by the chair. Hours later, James wakes up. With an earpiece on, with movie maker 'Mr. Starkweather' talking to him. "Wake up! Your not dead! I need you to take out some people for me, in some forgotten cities in the world. Just for, a minor film. And before you know it, the night, will be out." So James Earl Cash is taking out gangs one by one, by hiding in shadows, then executing. Or by just flat-out shoot outs. Eventually, he finds out that  'Starkweather' is not his friend. He finds out, he has been trying to get Cash killed. Cash works his way through gangs, 'The Hoods, the skinz, the innocentz, the police, and SWAT' to get to a deserted house. Trying to find his way through, he finds 'Piggsy'. A psycho murderer wearing the severed head of a pig as a mask. He wields a chainsaw at Cash, chasing him around the house. Starkweather is making a movie of Piggsy too, and Piggsy thinks your hired to kill him, along with the other gangs. Shortly after killing Piggsy, Cash finds Starkweather's office with Piggsy's Chainsaw in hand. Now he must kill Starkweather (who has a gun) for all the close calls and pains he put him through that night.

It was a pretty good game although i occasionally lost patience with having to sneak around everywhere. ;)

PC version is the best because of the controls.

Love the deaths.

And no need for you to explain.

The game uses The Grand Theft Auto Engine.

Which The Warriors uses The Manhunt engine.

Well in that case. On the mission in the Train Station (Wrong Side Of The Tracks?) how do you get past the part when the SWAT team come, just after you blast the lock off the door at the beginning? I always die :(

Run down the tracks until you get to some shadows. Hit the wall. A SWAT member will come to you. If there are more than one don't worry. If they turn red don't worry. Just take one out, then hid behind the nearest wall. Stick your head out and shoot any other guy that comes. My best advice is go hid, shoot one. Then, find a new place of shadows, remember, don't let them see you when you change places.

I like the red with the Baseball Bat. You hit them in the stomach and they fall to their knees. Then you crack them in the head causing it to crack in half and splatter blood and guts everywhere. Whats cool about it, is if you do it near a wall, afterwards you can see the blood running down the wall.
