Something i really hate about the movie

i would rather be hammered by riffs, cause theres a chance you could fake your death and live or somehow escape. plus theres not proof cleon dies, but in the original script one riff says hes as dead as a doornail

i rather get beat down by the riffs,like BaseballFury100 said, it aint no proof he died. I like to think he survived by a miracle and was picked up by the ambulance. I bet in Fox's next life he/she got a train-phobia or whateva the word is lol

As stupid as it sounds, I think I would much rather be hit by a train than getting chunks knocked out me by the Riffs... That would last a lot longer.

yeah that was a sick scene, and I guess Hill did it for various reasons already posted. I always thought in that scene, that Hill was trying to show that the gangs were not the only terror on the streets in N.Y.C at the time, the cops were too, and that even if the fuzz would throw a kid onto a coming train, chances are he would be acquited as no one saw him do it, etc. So I always looked at the backdrop message of that scene, just my opinion

yeah i agree with u about the cops that hill wanted the cops also to be dangerous not only the armies of the night

Good thinking there Jesse, also it backs up why the gangs ran at the meeting when the filth pulled up. Because although some wopuld want to go because somebody as a gun with them, Cyrus said they out number the police. This makes out that the police may be out numbered but still powerfull.

Oh I think the Riffs would beat you until they were pretty sure you were dead, think bloody, mushy, pulpy, pile of gooh.  I would take the train, fast and most likely no pain.

Any death is unpleasnt really, its just a matter of how you face death.  People can look death in the eye and spit right in its face, and some are terrified of it.  Just like a Samurai commits hairy carry, they put a blade through their stomach, and push it up their chest, so they showed they didn't take the cowards way out.  So it all depends on the tolerance of the warriors.  Who knows, maybe Cleon was shot one time and survived, so he has a high thresh hold of pain, the same go's for Fox.  In order to be a true warrior, one has to have an altered state of mind in order to make it through pain.  I am not saying their expierences did not hurt, but just like a warrior, maybe they prefer going out with a bang.  Who knows, its just a theory.
