here is my take on the furies thing

i dont think it was expected that the furies would have such a fan love. most people(and i use most lose these days) would agree that they love the warriors with the furies running a close 2nd. i also think that it was fitting that the warriors beat the furies in such a small group 3(4? for a second) on 7. after all. in the spit of it being a unreal kinda new york comic style, the warriors needed to be the ultra force that when needed they could go into the phone booth and become supermen, i think that the furies fight was the phone booth for them and really toss's the film in a direction that it wasnt going before the fight.  however, if there would have been no split and they were all even up 8 guys on 7 or well i guess 7 on 7. they wouldent have done the fight the way they did. i think it would have seemed more like the ounks fight, i think the punks fight is kinda boring its just got a exciting feel cuz its in the bathroom and crazy. well not so much boring but....its to even. the warriors are meant to be the under dogs and always struggle back.

i love the fact the furies are such a big deal in the movie now, and if that scene was anyway then it was it wouldent be the same....i almost hate the fact that there is the lil clip of them coming up to the street from the underground swinging there bats, beacuse somtimes i wish the first time u see them was when you see that yellow face just looking with a lifeless look. but oh well, sumed up. amazing scene sets the tone for the rest of the movie and psush's the warriors into a new light of underdogg fighters who struggle back not just wimps who run. a+
