That's not necessarily true. Most rock artists are not talking about the devil, nor are they screaming. Bands like Cradle of Filth, Slipknot, Bleeding Through, etc., maybe you can say that. But they're not really even categorized as Rock, they're more like Heavy Metal but I know others may have a different opinion on what they should be categorized as, but I would never consider them rock artists. But anyways, for this one, I have to go for rock.

Wow, this takes me back to when Rap was barely getting big. I myself prefer rock, I remember the guys that listen to rap would call us headbangers or devil worshippers what-not, as rockers we didn't have a name for them, we would just call it jungle music. I started listening to rap or freestyle since Sugar Hill Gang and Grand Master Flash. Some more good rappers followed, LL Cool J, RUN DMC, Ice Cube, Ice-T,...that's old school and the best. Then Dr. Dre came out, along with some other decent rappers, Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dogg, Cypress Hill,....now rap is all the same, I don't follow it as much. I guess I can say the same about rock, or music in general. But I will always prefer rock over rap anytime, since these are the choices.

Rock all the way... its just more appealing to myself... i cant get into all this rap stuff... also... you dont need to be a musician to be in the Rap game realistically, dont get me wrong.... there are a few rap artists who are musicians and like know how to work a recoeding studio but there arent (no offence) particularly many of them... anyhoo Rock is better because its easier to listen to, all different types which makes it great

I voted rock and i dont ike heavy metal screaming at all, neither do i like 'all teeth and no brains' artists like 50 cent and the like. The only hip-hop/rap i like is early ninties stuff like NWA, public enemy, Jurassic 5, Deltron 3030 and the like, all are excellent artists, yet i doubt any 'gangsta' rap fan has even heard of them. In rock i like rock songs that are giutar heavy and have a good tune, however somepeople think that as soon as you pick up a guitar your instantly a devil worshipping goth whos into marilyn manson and stuff, but not me thank you very much

definately rock, how can u listen to rap, its basically a guy talking to a repetitive drum beat.
rock is the greatest form of music and what is all this crap about it all being about the devil, there are practically no rock songs about the devil, your thinking of heavy metal which isn't bad either

I do like some rap, like 2pac and Run-DMC. But Rock music is just amazing... The Who, Thin Lizzy, Led Zeppelin etc you just cant beat it.

Come on Bobo, thats a little harsh I mean.. AHH who am I kidding? Its funny and I'd have done the same. Like he said, rock is not Slipknot, Misfits, Six Feet Under, etc. Its bands like Ozzy Osbourne, and Led Zeppelin. Maybe Ozzy Osoburne mentions the devil in a few songs, but hes not screaming it, so that you can't make out what he SINGS. I capitalized sings because in rock thats what they do. In your little rap stuff, anyone can do it. In 50 Cent's case, you got a speech problem and you can convince people you got shot nine times, then you got one hell of a shot. And we all no he didn't get shot nine times, I think what he means (but can't pronounce, the moron) is that he got shot AT nine times, and got hit around one to two times.
