Paramount DVD Petition

I haven't actually looked at the back of too many Criterion DVDs, but what I have seen I thought their extras were actually pretty impressive honestly. But maybe you saw some I haven't, plus it's all a matter of opinion naturally. And the general consensus is that their quality of their tranfers onto disc is fantastic. Leaving me with the only negative, the high price, which as I stated above is the reason I haven't bought a few of their DVDs that I do want. I agree Criterion probably isn't going to get the chance to do The Warriors, I'd rather see Paramount do it and give the film the respect it deserves.

Again though with the extras - I for one am tired of many DVDs from all different studios listing typical DVD stuff as "special features" - like "widescreen," "theatrical trailer," what sound it has, etc.

Oh my goodness yes! Warriors on DVD has been awesome... but there was nothing special on it... what about adding the original beginning, and cast interviews and stuff... educational stuff!!! hahaha

Do something like they did with the Karate Kid box set they just released, film a new documentary with the cast members.

Maybe get Walter Hill to do a commentary track.

Clean up the original begining & any other deleted scenes they may have.

Film some sort of retrospective, like NYC then & now or how gangs have changed from the time the movie was made.

Maybe include a cool patch of the Warriors logo

I'd pay 22.99 for that. (by the way, when I bought the vhs tape when it first came out in the 80's I payed 69.99. That was about the going rate and there was no such thing as rental)

WE WANT IT NOW!!!! And i wouldn't mind it at all if Criterion got their hands on the rights, they have made some kickass releases.

I'm sure it'll happen in time for what is to be a horrible re-make, but lets let Paramount know we want it.

And if you guys want a Criterion edition of the Warriors, which I most definitely do since anything bearing the Criterion banner is gold, IMO regardless of price, go to the criterion collection website and e-mail them to let them know the want is strong and willing.http://www.criterionco.com/asp/ask_form.asp
