Everyone says he had it coming, but i really didnt expect him to be killed by an animal, he knew what he was doing and you could tell by the way he handled the animals that he treated them with respect. He knew what to be cautious of when he was around animals, and he deffinately knew to be cautious around stingrays, although only 1 other person has been killed by them off Australias coast, if he had been stung in the leg or arm he most likely would have lived. but due to the poison going straight to his heart and like Oddity said him removing it caused him to die almost instantly.
At the end of the day he died doing what he loved.
And incase anybodys wondering he was swimming above the sting ray when it stung him, he did not provoke it.
It was all caught on camera, and supposidly he told the camera man to show the footage on tv, i don't know how with him being underwater though.

you're saying he wanted the footage of his death on TV? how could he have had time to tell the camera man anything if he died instantly?

My dad says he read the docyors note on the stingrays and it said that if he would have been stinged somewhere else he would have lived... but unfortunatly it had to be his heart.

no, he didn't say keep filming while he was dying, he told all his camera men when he hired them that no matter what happens, even if it looks like he'll die to keep filming. so thats what they did, there is footage of his death but i doubt they will air it on tv

That there was a real man, hard as nails and loved what he was doing. This was a freak diving accident, as im told he was not provoking the ray - it came out of knowhere. Regardless that was one brave man, you all know the world will be more dull with out him.

Good because only a very sick person who loves horror movies and torturing little animals will want to see it.
It would be horrible watching that on TV, His children will see it, and i don't think anybody else here would want to watch a video of their dad getting killed by a sting ray would they?
It is bad enough watching footage of terrorist attacks never mind a man pulling a barb out of his heart then dying.

hey now, I love horror movies but not torturing little animals. although if I did want to see it it will probably be leaked on the internet or the next installment of faces of death which I have never watched any of those too much for me

Man I couldn't believe this :(  The Crocman himself....gone.  I was sad when I heard this. My prayers go out to his wife and rest of his family!
