Re: Sleeping problem
I hate this problem, it blows. I don't think you're going to die from it - if you are really worried then yeah, go see a doctor, but try not to take any medication...in the long term this won't help. The best advice I recived was doin mathematics as you lay in bed. Simlilar to counting sheep but not as sheepish, do a 23 x table or something.....just learn some timetables, it activates the left side of your brain which initialises sleep patterns or something, it does work.

Re: Sleeping problem
I only sleep 2 hours a night, I cannot sleep more than that. I go to bed at 2 in the morning and wake up at 4. I've been doing this since I was 6, so I am used to it. To me sleep is a waste of time, that's just me!

Re: Sleeping problem
To help me sleep sometimes, I just read or watch a movie. I always fall asleep after a while.

Re: Sleeping problem
I don't mean to sound horrible but it takes me about 2 seconds to get to sleep.
But when i can't (usually on christmas eve), i normally try the following..
Put myself in my favourite movie, just imagine you are one of the warriors. play the whole movie word for word through your head and make YOU one of the central characters like Swan, Ajax etc etc.
Just imagine you are fighting the Furies, running from the Turnbulls... i guarantee you wil fall asleep very quickly.
OR you could try singing your self to sleep that normally works.
like back2coney said the counting thing works, and like turnbull_badger said listen to some music.
Just try a few things out first, and if NONE of them work then seek medical advice.

Re: Sleeping problem
I know that this is an old topic, but I have this problem too. Its not as bad as your is (was?) jp, but I still have it. I can't get to sleep for hours after I go to bed. I usually have music going (athough AC/DC isn't the most relaxing music.
) Or I just do math or
I love doing that!! Sometimes I work on FanFics in my head, (though I'll never post them.) The other night was one of the worst. And it irratates me that my brother is out in a minute, and I have to go through a torturous sleepless night. But anyways, jp? Did this problem get better? If it did, what did you do to help it? Every night its the same thing. Maybe some of the New-Bloods have comments?the wigan warrior wrote: Put myself in my favourite movie, just imagine you are one of the warriors. play the whole movie word for word through your head and make YOU one of the central characters like Swan, Ajax etc etc.
