Furies.....Overrated?

Actually, I am agreeing with you as well FuriesWarlorrd.  I actually read your post on the other topic.  I am sure the furies had their best and worst days.  Thats why I said that I am nuetral when it comes to them. Thats the way it is when you are a fighter.  You win some, and  you lose, than you live to fight another day.  I am not saying anyone is corny, or that every gang is lousy.  Thats how it is when your in a gang.  I am sure the Furies got angry after the fact, and than recoperated, and realized that there are other battles they will fight. So I guess what I am trying to say is that, I do not know enough about the furies past, so I do not make assumptions on whether they are underrated or overrated.  Every gang loses a round once in a while, and just gets back up to contemplate on how they will go from there.

Hey adam88.  I didn't interpret your response as a disagreement.  We have the right to, though    I do appreciate and respect your response, as I do many of your posts here at the forum.  It's when I read something like this:

Furies lovers can hate on me, but I'm just pointing something out. This goes for both game and movie. The Furies are one of the heaviest gangs right? Probably in the top ranks along with the Riffs, and the Satan Mothers.

I feel the need to state something.  Stating that the Furies are overrated but not providing substance to back it up shows me the writer posted for the sake of posting, possibly to stir up some controversy or just seeking some much needed attention.  I still don't see how they are overrated.  Overpopularized, maybe.

yes,we cant know anything about their past.maybe they were just an average gang like the Warriors(who on the other hand proved that they are over the average,but anyways...)and the fact that the Warriors never mention their name is contributing to that.maybe they did not even know who the Furies were?i mean if theyre a heavy set,you would know their name right?

i think they were a bunch of posers who tried to scare other gangs with their image.

I think that most people who find the furies more interesting or whatever, is because they are intrigued by there outfit, face paint AND the fact they stroll around at night with a baseball bat! 

I would be terrified to find a gang like that creeping the streets..so thats what makes them really exciting, the fact that they are really creepy looking.. and I guess you could say overrated because its kind of unbelieveable that a gang would actually dress up like that.

Nice eye doyle-  The furies are  one of the gangs that are remembered so they must have something about them which makes them stick in peoples minds.

thats crazy because the furies are a tough gang to beat the are dagerous and they have bats

its very hard to sit and decide if the furies are heavy or not on 1 fight

this isnt UFC we dont see them fight every month

one day a fight can go one way, and one day anuther...that day, sure...not good, even the punks gave a better fight

however beacuse of what you have to work with....its hard to base

im sure if you were going to bet on the next fight you would go warriors...of course...i know alot of preople who picked roy jone jr in alot of his latest fights to  8) including me

however....if looked at how heavy they are by lookinga t there impact on the movie....they are huge...with such a small roll they make a huge part...they share the same ammount of screen time as...the punks, and the turnbulls id say...and while the other two gangs hold alot of fans i dont think they could beat out the furies...infact i would go on to say that the furies are the 2nd most popular group in the movie...so for that fact alone....that makes them a very heavy group....


like i said, you saw 1 fight....you dont know if later they went and wasted the turnbulls or satanas mothers out of anger of losing  :p

now the most obious point about the warriors beating the furies against all odds its their movie, aand its the same with the game.
The Furies are heavy in the way they beat their opponents, they freak em out with their stunned scilence and the fact theyve got bats.They freak their opponents out so much they easily beat them but it didn't work like that with the warriors. They failed to freak em too much as they stood and fought. And if they wernt heavy why were they at the conclave, if I remember correctly and tell me if ive gotten mixed up. Only heavy gangs were supposed to be there, and they were there.

I can explain why the Warriors kicked Furies ass...because the Warriors are the best! Still...the Furies would kick any other gangs ass. But the Warriors...well you've seen the movie
