The Warriors Location Documentary

Post by War Chief »

I have finally made a copy of the documentary which visits the different filming locations in the film. Stillwell Avenue and the graveyard are my particular favourites. A big thanks to Jim for making it and letting me distribute it here! Unfortunately the video is very small, else it would take ages to download. Maybe a better quality version will be put on YouTube in the near future, but please ask Jim for this as he has the video file on the computer.

Video file is in WMV format and is 5.3MB in size.

Please click here to view it.

Wow, this is very cool.....Thanks Gareth. I have been trying to upload to YouTube and when I do it tells me that for some reason it cannot accept the file. Its short enough(I broke it up into 4 parts), but for whatever reason, it wont allow the files. I will eventually go back and give it another go. I hope everyone enjoys this version. Again, thanks for all the help.

thanks for adding this.  Its amazing hoe time go by so fast.  I always thought of those kind of scenes and environments like moments frozen in time.  Everything else around it changes and alters its way of meaning.  While these certain spots from the movie have gone through whatever obstacles have touched them.  They seem to have a preserved essence that never go's away and its aura sends us back in time to dwell and contemplate on the past.  The more things change, theres always a piece of history that gives us a sense of appreciation, of what we went through.

First off...what was that? secondly you're not supposed to post here since you are a new member...i've noticed that alot of new members don't follow the same rules as those who have been here awhile and had to go thru the Proving Grounds first before posting anywhere else... 8)

Thirdly...thank you Jim for creating that video...you may have beat most of us "to the punch" but now we can get a visual on what most of these places look like now...and thanks to Gareth who posted the video on the forum...it helps alot of us see these fabulous locations on where the cast once stood and did what they had to do to make such a respected and loved movie even after 28 years since it came out...I really hope they decide not to do any fixer downers to Coney Island before and even after the Conclave 2009...it would be a darn shame to do the Conclave with nothing around in C.I....especially without the Ferris Wheel in the place it needs to stay in

Thanks everyone for the kind words. It was an amazing feeling going to these locations especially the cemetary because it was so rewarding finding the exact location. War Chief was a big help pointing me in the direction of the correct cemetary but it was a challege trying to find the markings. One quick note about the gravestone that Swan leans against......it was a "prop". I was standing in the location where the gravestone would have been to get alot of my shots in the cemetary. Actually that was one of the first markings I looked for. Thanks again to all.

Actually I want to go back this year when it gets warmer to shoot part 2. I still have a few locations that I still need to get to.
