Things like this make me hate humanity... (Warning: not for the faint of heart)

Post by GramercyRiff99 »

http://www.startribune.com/467/story/1117417.html

The girl gave birth to a baby she didn't even know she was pregnant with, then proceeded to stab it ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY-FIVE TIMES. There are all these programs where you can drop off your baby at a hospital no questions asked and have them put it up for adoption, yet she stabbed the thing 135 times. Why? She didn't want to raise and take care of it.

Can you imagine that? Put your hand in the air and mimic a stabbing motion. Now do that 135 times. Even if she stabbed as fast as she could, we are still looking at two to three minutes of straight stabbing. If it were some kind of post-birth mania, she sure as hell wouldn't have kept going for that long. This is straight up murder, no matter what she may say.

So... yeah. I hope this girl rots in jail for the rest of her life. This is one of the most terrible things I have ever read, and it takes a lot to really affect me. Screw people in general, especially people who are capable of this.

Tell me about it Gramercy, I mean whats so hard about giving a baby up for adoption.  Sometimes I wonder if these peoples souls were sent straight from hell to earth.  Things like this make you lose hope sometimes.  Its as if human stupidity can not stop.  I hope the world does not completely go up in hell.

You can never lose hope. It's a slippery slope and once you head down there it just gets harder to get back up. I've been almost to the very bottom and trust me you don't want to go there, any of you.
Hope is that white butterfly which came with all the cruelty and evils of the world.

But I think that people like this should be killed as soon as they are found guilty to face their true judgement at the gates of hell and seek their punishment there. To me, this would be justice.

I don't agree that she should be killed (anti-death penalty here), nor do I believe in Hell (Wiccan here), but I do believe that she should spend an eternity in prison. Also, the ole concept of karma will get her eventually.

Also, that butterfly analogy is pretty awesome.

The way i see it is that this crazy woman, had problems in her life, probably had major problems with the babys husband, probably a really unwanted baby the baby was , so she took all the frustration on the baby. Im having MAJOR problems in my life right now.. but some peole just cant handle the pression like that crazy woman, and do a REAL stupid things that will probably regret for the rest of her life.
.......crazyness.........
God eneded the world once because of evilness in the world, and if this keeps up...
well nvm.

Yeah, GR99, I see the problems with that "an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind" but the idea that people like that even exist just makes me so frustrated sometimes.
It's as if they don't value human life at all, which is so depressing (do I fall under that category, I wonder?).
I don't believe in hell either, I just think poetic justice could be attained if it did exist.
I looked at the theme of justice in class today and of all the characters that died in the play only one death was seen as "unjust" by two classes of seventeen year olds and their teacher and the years of classes before us, which makes you wonder what lies in our future if it is left in the hands of these people. Most of the deaths were seen as "just" or even "poetic justice". So few saw any of the other deaths as "unjust" it makes me wonder if my peers aply this same logic that they use to judge Shakespeare as they use to judge life and real people.
I bloody well hope not.
Maybe justice is relative, what one person sees as justice another may not even if both are unbiased, as I also learned in class today. Perhaps certain aspects of certain events are seen as just while other aspects of the same event are seen as unjust, again, this may be relative.
Like beauty, maybe justice is in the eye of the beholder or in the judgement of someone worthy to judge such human concepts.
