I wouldnt've pegged Leon as a Gangster film.

5.angels with dirty faces(i love that movie!)
and heres one nobody has mentioned as of yet,a good little movie-STATE OF GRACE with gary oldman,sean penn and ed harris set in hells kitchen with the irish mafia!
and lately i thought the departed was awsome!! 8)

All mob movies are different, Its hard to decide,

The Godfather is a family mob, and more about respect, its about the higher ranks of the mafia. I didn't care for it that much, But Francis Ford Cappoloa is one one my favourite directors.

Goodfellas I think is more realistic, Since it shows betrayel and lies in the mob. Not to mention its about low ranking members of the mafia, I mean, the highest ranking member you see is a capo.
Plus its a true story.

Casino is basicly Goodfellas 2 in Las Vegas with a different story line. But again very realistic.

The Untouchables was great. It shows the fall of the greatest gangster in history, Al Capone. The only thing that bugged me was the 4 untouchables were actually 12 people in real life. Also they pieced together a bunch of ways different people helped take Capone down, and they gave all the credit to Elliot Ness.

But out of all of them Goodfellas was my favourite. It just seems so realistic, the way the characters act. Its also my favourite movie of all time
