wonder what made swan give mercy that flower

i thought it was part of showing the contrast of the warriors with the upper class kids. the prom kids had discarded something that they took for granted but that swan found beauty in, the same way that he had found beauty in mercy when others just saw her as a ho or dirty, lower class girl.

i also had the chance to give MERCY (DEB VAN VOLK') a flower arrangment!
when i met her at the CHILLER SHOW back in 1/2006 in secaucus nj i gave her the flower and she got a kick out of it...she even said (like in the film) "Whats this for?" and of course i came back with the famous "its for you..i hate anything to go to waste".
and i have this on my "WARRIORS THEN & NOW" fanfilm (video) hope for other boppers to see, if its ever posted up on this site. she is a class act, very tough chick..... 8)

I think it was his way of telling her he doesnt want to see her go to waste either.
He doesnt want to waste his life, he wants her with him and he be too manly just to say "elope with me!"

It would've been interesting too, if the girl who dropped the corsage did it intentionally. Like, she felt bad for them, so she wanted to discreetly leave them something to make them feel better. It's doubtful, but it would've been cool.

i personally think that he has feelings for mercy... remember, he says, i think i would just take off. or something like that? maybe that shows that he wants to quit his gang life and move on with his life with mercy... thats what i think...

and this is my last post of the day and the last post before i go on my schhol-organised overseas 4D3N trip to malaysia.. :doubt: i really really don't want to go there but my mum forced me to..-_-" so i'll be back at on saturday or sunday...

On another note, when Mercy says "I've never been anywhere, I just know I'd like it." And then she gives that look, it almost sounds like, "Well it doesn't matter as long as I'm with you."  :lol: That just came to my mind, I'm not sure how true it is.

Swan first reveals a deeper affection for Mercy on the train when he stops her from fixing her hair in front of the prom couples.  The flower, as I see it, was the opposite of everything that had occurred that night.
