she was trying to fix her hair because she felt that she was not as good as the rich kids across from her, swan stopped her because he couldnt care less what the folk thought of them, basicaly saying accept us the way we are.thats why the rich nods his head to him to say "fair play to you".thats my opinion anyway.

I agree.
I feel like Swan accepted her the way she was and felt like she didn't need to change herself to make those people happy.
Initimate moment between the two of them

i agree, the fact that hes telling her to be who she is illustrates how his attitude towards her is changingWestsideBopper wrote: I agree.

I totally agree with you.Ninth Delegate wrote:The way this scene plays out to me: The prom couple represent the wealthy looking down on the lower class. Swan stops mercy as if to tell her to accept who she is and not to change herself in order to impress those that think they are better than her. The prom couple represent what the warriors could have been if born under different circumstances and didnt go off on the wrong track. It reminds me a little of the socially misfit kids trying to impress the socially popular kids at school, in order to fit in and be accepted.
Btw, I would say that Swan is gentleman.

It was a great scene though... We could learn something from that...
