Those are all very good points...I think that Coney Island is more safer now than it was 25 years ago...and looks more fresh bc of the station's reconstruction...you're not going to get japped!!! I was over there in August walking around in a Warriors vest!!  nobody panic!!! in reference to the movie I believe that they were given a fair break not to fight the Rogues since they had such a hard time getting home...throughout the movie they're running and fighting so its as if to say "ok you're blamed for something you didn't do, chased by every gang in the city, even the police are involved, and fought with a few of the gangs you ran into while trying to get home"...I think all of that was enough...they're on their turf and to them their turf is sacred and where they can be safe...so it was time for somebody else to pay the price...the real culprits-the Rogues!!! the real culprits who need to get wasted!...The Riffs had to deal with them more than the Warriors needed to since it was their leader who was shot...its as if the Riffs were the police and they had to deal with the culprits who committed the crime...yes the Warriors should have beaten them and thrown in the water so they can sleep with the fishes  however another fact comes to mind: when they filmed these scenes in C.I. it was around October...so if you were there would you really have liked to be thrown in cold water?  Walter Hill and the writers probably decided it was not a good idea to have this fight so no one would be thrown in the cold water
