I've just finished reading the original script on the main site and was wondering... can someone lend me $500,000 to make it? lol.
I really liked the script although it's a hard choice between that and the actual film we're all used to watching it's still quite good although an explanation of how Swan got back would of been nice.

The Warriors Script
I really didn't like the script. Maybe it's because I'm so used to the film, I don't know. It just seemed really trashy. The dialogue was weak, the characters were poorly drawn and it didn't have the sense of flow that the movie had.
I noticed that it was Walter Hill's final version. I'd be willing to bet that it was David Shaber who crafted the script into the movie that we all know and love. I'm sure the studio realized that this script was just not ready to be filmed and brought in an ace like Shaber to punch it up.
I guess Hill is a much better director than writer. This also goes to show you what a collaborative art filmaking is. It was the combined talents of hill, Shaber, the cinematographer, editor, and of course Barry de Vorzon. What would the Wariors be without that theme music?
