My opinion On 2006 The Warriors

Okay, when I read that the New Warriors movies is gonna be based on more real gangs, I was pissed off. But If you think about It The Fans of the original are gonna be pissed off either way. You make the new Warriors movie like the original some are be like " He totally copied the original " . If the new warriors movie was changed, people will be like " He changing every thing ". Now don't get all pissed just expressing my opinion. I think the 2006 warriors movie, is gonna be like the movie colors and boyz in the hood, by the style of the gangs. And I think that the Director will find " Unknown actors ". No matter how mant changes there are Im still gonna go see it.

I agree, if you compare it with the original, there will be a lose situation, no matter what.
Good or bad, few people will be happy, I think it will have to be judged on it's own merits, and not by comparison.
I doubt I will pay theater price to see it, but when it hits dvd I may rent it, depending on reviews that show up here, otherwise, I wait for the tv movie channels to show it.

Movies seem to come and go so quickly these days.  I think it'll disappear shortly after it's released.  It's much harder for a "classic" to get born.

ya know the more I think about it, maybe it won't be all that bad. not that it can compare to the original. but lets think for a second how fans of the book felt back in 79 when the original came out. this remake seems like it could be closer to the book

The "new film" will go. It will vanish and shrink. I needn't argue about that; I'm right and I will be proved right right. The ORIGINAL Warriors are more popular than any gang movie that has come out or will come out; I don't know which will go first - Rocky 6 (?) or this so called "re-make". Tony Scott is all right, but this new project of his is thick and sicknin'. It's that movie twisting the original, that' what ruins it.

My opinion? A big meeting of gangs just wouldn't happen nowadays. And if it did, it wouldn't be as controlled as our classic. Everybody has a bigger head these days, and technology being what it is would just mess things right up. I mean imagine this:

"The problem in the past has been the man turning us against one another... We have been unable to see the truth, because we have been fighting for ten... Okay, that's the FIFTH TIME I'VE TOLD U TO TURN YOUR CELL PHONES OFF! "

There's no way that WOULDN'T happen. Better yet, there won't be a meeting at all, as the person who called the meeting could just send out an E-mail to all the gangs, and instead of a radio and a DJ, there would be some twod on MTV reporting everything...
