Gangs in the Book

In the book, is there any parallel to the Boppers, or any gangs that have turf in Harlem? Like how the Thrones are like the Riffs type thing. I'm looking at using some gangs from the book in my entry for the Fanfiction competition, so I could actually use the names and turf of any of the gangs in the book really. Thanks.

I don't know about any Bopper parallels, but the Blazers are supposed to be the novel's version of the Orphans, though the book never clearly states where the Blazer's turf is, it seem s that their a hispanic gang. The Colonial Lords are the other Coney gang in the book that are rivals to the Dominators, so I guess they could parallel the Mongels from the movie's orignal script.

there's no gangs from the film in the book its gangs like nazi gangs, all white gangs all black gangs, jewish gangs, asian gangs and indian gangs its like that and all the gangs hated each other as you can tell from the nazi gang

I know there are no gangs from the book in the movie. I was looking for the names of some of them, but never mind now, I've decided to go in a different direction with my writing.
