Seven Shadows lit by moonlight on a graffiti strewn wall. They belong to the Warriors. Seven Hard Core boppers from Coney. Everyone wants a piece of them since the night of the big meeting. You take out one of these guys you got a big rep for life.
Someone decides they want a name for themselves they try to take down a legend…….A Warrior…… First you gotta make it deep into Coney when they know you’re coming and then you gotta find one of them alone before you turn a corner and meet more soldiers then you can handle. Then there are the cops they know what’s going down and they bust any gang they see on the streets Warriors included.
Life isn’t easy for anyone but, the warriors have a street family of 200 brothers who’d die by there side and they’ve got safety in numbers. 200 is a lot of muscle but, it can’t bop wave after wave, night after night and numbers are dropping.
Every night it’s the same and too many young men from all sides are getting wasted or doing hard time. The seven survive but, many others don’t.
Tonight the seven shadows aren’t in Coney there in Van Cortland Park and there trying to get home one last time with every gang in the city wanting to bust there heads.
Same rules different stakes, it’s the only way they will be allowed peace, every boss has signed a pact to grant amnesty to any Warrior that make it back a second time.
The rules, No weapons, Gangs only allowed in there own turf, Foot and subway only. 100,000 against 7…….That’s it, here we go…
Got a few twists to sort out and a number don't make it back wether that's 1,2 - 7 i'm not sure. A few gangs not seen in the first are going to get there chance and another couple will get a second chance.
I need to tweek the first 3 paragraphs also in the introduction as it doen't flow like i want it to.
The stand facing each other. Some with fear in there eyes. Swan remains expressionless, Ajax twitching with excitement. He wants to confirm his name in folklore. They talk quietly but, at this time they have no need they have about a mile between them and the first enemy territory. The Riffs guard the entrances to the park and no-one messes with the Riffs.
They know that there will be some rule breakers on there journey, some rogue assassins who would do anything to get to them. It’s not the big gangs that they need to worry about. They will stick to there word and stay in there turf it’s the up and comers that are dangerous.
Back in Coney they feel safe 200 brothers by there side. Recruitment is easy and numbers swell when you got a big rep but, 10 dead and more inside in less then six months is too much.
This time they know the odds and they know they aren’t good. They move silently through the park to a Western entrance. They have no scout this time no-one to tall them what there up against in new turf. As they approach the exit there fear rises and every gang in the city waits and hopes they get there chance….
