"Snow, turn it up, man." Vermin said, sitting on the orange couch. The Warriors were sitting in their hangout playing cards and listing to the radio.
The pinging sound was constant for the past ten minutes. "Hey PinBall Wizard, can't you cut that out?" Swan asked.
"Aw, screw it. You just cost me high score Swan!" Ajax kicked the machine and ran over to Swan. He grabbed his vest in his fists. Swan could smell his breath, it wasn't pleasant.
Swan smiled, "Make your move."
Ajax let go and sat down in the lawn chair next to the couch. "Yeah well, why don't you make your move over to the cooler and grab me a brew."
Swan tossed one from the cooler. Vermin jumped over and grabbed it.
"To slow!" Vermin shouted.
"That's it!" Ajax jumped up and got Vermin in a head lock. Vermin called for mercy. "Nope, not this time ya pansy." Ajax said, "Now, give me that beer." Just then Vermin shifted his weight and flipped Ajax onto his back, smashing the beer and getting the floor soaked.
"Now look what you did!" Ajax said poping Vermin once on the arm.
"Vermin!" Swan said.
"Yeah War Cheif?"
"I want you to go to the liqor store." Swan said.
"But there's plenty here!" Vermin complained.
"Do it!" Swan said.
"ok, ok." Vermin squeeked out under his breath. He pulled on a sweatshirt and walked out the door. The sky was an overcast grey. The forecast called for snow. "Good thing we're not in Nothren NY. We'ed be gettting like ten feet." Vermin thought to him self.
Back inside the hangout the radio DJ clicked on. Her smooth voice filled the air, "Well, hello to all those boppers out there on the mean streets. We have a special annocement for the Coney Island Warriors, says here that the Orphans are looking for some new turf and their eyes are set on Coney. Be looking good out there babies."
The Spirit of the Radio by Rush took the DJ's place.
"Vermin!" The Warriors said in unisen.

Re: Vermin- The Man, the Myth, the Lengend.
Snowflakes drifted down from the sky and landed softly on Coney Island. Vermin was walking down the board walk. He always tried to walk on the board walk as long as he could when he was by himself. More chances for people to see him if he got into trouble.
"Oh, no mommy." A little girl went running after a ballon that she had just lost. Vermin, being the good soul that he is, ran after it too. He ran about a block and finnaly cought it after hopping up on a bench.
"Here you go little girl." Vermin said reaching out ot her.
The girl and her mother both let out a blood curtling scream and ran towards their car.
"Man, didn't think I looked that tuff." He smiled to him self. He felt somthing on the back of his neck, he heard a click. Switchblade.
"Ahh, God!" Vermin said pulling the armed man over the bench, the switchblade cought Vermin's ear and sliced it down the back of his skull. The armed man was wearing a dirty olvie drab t-shirt. ORPHANS was printed on the back in bold black letters.
"Guys get 'em. I don't wanna see him alive!" The orphan said standing up. Two more jumped out of seemingly no where.
"Shi#!" Vermin squeeked. He took an upper cut to the jaw and his teeth clenched togather, that was going to hurt tomarrow.
An orange and brown figure jumped over the boardwalk railing and onto one of the orphans. "Don't worry Vermin, let's take thease two bit punks out!" He kicked the orphan in the side of the head, hard. Blood seeped out hs ears and onto the board walk. One down two to go.
"Alright!" CowBoy said with a smile on his face. He watched as Vermin finished off the second Orphan.
"CowBoy, DUCK!" Vermin shouted, but it was too late.
The last Orphan had picked up the blade from the board walk. The six inch blade sunk warmly into CowBoy's back. It made a small to medium gouge in his spinal choard. But, don't feel bad for him. It didn't hurt. It just felt like a warm summer day and the sun was shining on his back. Then everything fadded and he felt no more.
Sorry for the shorter chapter guys!

Re: Vermin- The Man, the Myth, the Lengend.
"Cowboy." Vermin nuged him with his foot. Nothing moved. He heard a siren in the distance, didn't know if it was coming for them but he decided that it wasn't a god idea to wait around and see. "This aint over!"
The Orphan ran down the street cackeling wildly. Blood dripped behind him off the knife. Vermin went over to Cowboy.
"Come on buddy, let's get you to Swan." Vermin pulled Cowboy up on his sholders and started the solem walk home. He walked by a tramp. He had a scuffy beard and a empty shopping cart, Vermin started to ake.
"Spare some change?" The tramp asked.
"I'll give 'ya a buck for the cart." Vermin said. "In fact, I'll rent it from you. I'll promise to give it back."
"Why thanks sonny!" The tramp said. "Hurry back now 'ya hear, I'd be collecting cans soon."
Vermin placed Cowboy in the shopping cart, it made that filmilar metal sound. It reminded Vermin of when he was a kid with his mom. She used to strap him into the seat and take him shopping with her. Vermin imagined that the same ting went on with Cowboy. He also remembered how pointy shopping carts can be and coushened Cowboy's head with his hand.
"War Cheif!" Vermin burst through the door with Cowboy in his arms.
"What happend?" Swan asked alarmed, the rest of The Warriors gathered around the three.
"He saved my life." Vermin said, "He saved my life and now he's dead."
"God damn it!" Ajax shouted as he slammed a pool cue down on the floor. It snapped in two, sending splinters into the air. "Sorry, Swan."
"Ok, let's get rid of the body before the cops come knockin'." Swan said. " I think we should bury hm on the beach."
"How're gonna do that Sherlock?" Ajax asked.
"We'll do it under the dock." Vermin said,"Where we all used to hangout in Middle School."
Vermin remembered way back then, it seemed just like yesterday. The sun would make it to hot for them on the beach so they would grab a cooler and sit under the docks. Somtimes they would be lucky and the fishermen would give them beer.
"Let's go guys, before it get's dark." Swan said. "Ajax get off that pinball machine."
"Alright, I'm comin', I'm comin'." Ajax said.
"Yeah, well so is Christmass." Vermin said.
The seagulls mocked them as they walked out onto the beach. Digging that hole was one of the hardest things he had ever done in his life. Cochise had come also. He held out a ply wood grave marker.
"Here let me do it." Vermin said. He tried to think if what he should put of Cowboy's head stone. He remembered Cowboy's favorite book. Upon the head stone he wrote "COWBOY- EVERYTHING WAS BEUTIFULL AND NOTHING HURT."
The sun set behinde them as they walked silently back to their hangout.

Re: Vermin- The Man, the Myth, the Lengend.
Six figuers came over the sand dune's crest. The sun setting behinde them gave the men an eirey "last supper" glow. Six verus five wouldn't have been a problem but, one of those Warriors was dead. Now it was six aginst four. A laughing drifted down the beach to the Warriors along with the Coney wind.
" Ha, this isn't over War - E- Ors!" The leader said. He flicked out his blade. It was still stained from Cowboy's blood. The others followed.
"Vermin, see that chain on the dock?" Swan wispered. "Get it."
Vermin saw the chain loosely wrapped around the dock's pillings. It wasn't tied and he picked it up. Swan was talking to their leader.
"What makes you think you can waltz in here and take over Coney?" Swan shouted. The wind blew back his hair.
"I took over your mom last night!" Some Orphan yelled.
"Cut that out!" The leader yelled, his eyes bulging out of his skull. Some times the scariest people in the world are the crazy ones. He let out a scream and ran down the beach. "Let's go!"
The Orphans ran down towards the Warriors and the water. The leader tackeled Swan, it was War Cheif vrs War Cheif. Swan got to his knees and smashed the Orphan in to the dock pilling. It made a solid thunk.
Cochise had one of them in a head lock. Ajax held the orphans hair for leverage and punched him in the back of the head. Crack. The Orphan couched blood, he layed on the ground clutching himself. Ajax kicked him twice in the kidneys for good measure. Two down, four to go.
Vermin wrapped the chain around his fists and swung a mean lefted hook into the Orphan next to him and missed. He fell to the sand and recived gruling kick to the ribs. Luckely some of the blow went to his elbow. Vermin reached up and punched his knees. The Orphan fell and Vermin started wailing on him with the chain. The Orphan spat blood in Vermin's face. "Take that home to mommy!" He yelled, and spat no more. Three down, Three to go.
Vermin got up and saw two more dead Orphans under Ajax and Cochise. They slightly moved. Swan had the last one, the leader, pinned about a foot away from the water.
He looked over, "Hey you, how your Cowboy friend, huh?" He looked at Vermin then up at the sky, and began to laugh. He must of truley been crazy. At this point in time the Orphan must have transported some of that into Vermin. He reared up and kicked him so hard that New Jersey heard it. One kick was enough to do it.
Blood stained the beaches of Coney and sea gulls did dive bombs in the sky. Some where a big dog barked in the distance. He was lucky. Vermin thought. He didn't have to loose friends over petty fights. He had a warm home to go to. He never killed anyone without good reason.
