Old movie projectors going to scrap

Post by kowolski »

I dont know if there are any 35mm film collectors here. I just picked a truck load of Century 35mm projectors!

Some of them are good and some of them have been used for parts. I was going to haul them in for scrap metal !!!  These were about $5000 ea when new. I have about 20+ of them all together.

These would have the projectors that would have been in use in 1979 and played The Warriors first run in your local single screen theater   Image Image

Most of them still work. They are just obsolete. Most theaters today are going with Digital projectors.
Im gonna try to find somebody that can use them. If not there going to be sold for scrap aluminum.

I have a vast collection of 35mm old movie trailers and movies that I could play with them.

Awesome vintage!  :D

Where did you find all those projectors?  You can definitely keep the ones that work as part of your collection and haul the others...or you might want to sell them...there's alot of people out there who like vintage parts...

Wow, You hardly ever see anyone with such passion over the vintage! I Myself think most of the old stufgf is the best, and in most cases still is, I f i could have one off you I sure woould, Unfortunatly I live in The UK, so delivary would be quite expensive. But is Exptional to see suchh enthusiasm and to know that such a part of history is being faught for and kept alive! Well done you!
