How do you think the Warriors earn their nicknames? Does Cleon alone decide or is it a group thing? Makes me wonder how Vermin got his.

I don't think Cleon would give them their own NickName they need to have their own freedom and pick their own Nickname.

i guess if you hang around together for ages and u become like family you see peoples habits and stuff and u create a nickname from the actions or things they do,im sure they wouldnt all have nicknames before they joined the warriors

More than likely it's a group thing. A guy will get a nickname pretty early in a group/gang. Usually it's something that initially is made as a joke and just sticks. Example: Snow was more than likely a name used to pick at Snow when he was new to the gang. After awhile it just became his name.

I think they have their nicknames way before they actually decide to join the warriors, and the old link that was posted above does a pretty good job describing Cochise

I think that's their real names.
Cleon, Rembrandt, Swan, Ajax, and Cochise all sound like real names.

Each of their names seem to have a meaning. I seriously doubt that's their real names. Ex: Cowboy is called Cowboy because of his hat. I never seen members of a gang get called by their real names.

Cleon is the only one that is possibly his real name.
the rest are nicknames of one sort or another.
Rembrant probably because he draws the best of them.
I always wondered if Swan maybe doesn't have a last name like Swanson, he looks Nordic in the movie, and Swan would be shortened version.
Cochise and Snow, vermin are in my mind definately street names. no question.
Ajax, there are some historic figures with that name, but I am thinking it is also a street name, though it could be a slang of Alexander type name too. Hard to say.
You don't get to choose your nickname. they are always given to you by someone else. Sometimes you have a choice and can get them changed around but most likely not. A friend of mine worked construction in college, and he was tall with long flowing blonde hair--they started calling him Custer-as a take of of General Custer who he resembled. It stuck and some of us still refer to him that way today.
the guys that work for us all have nicknames for each other---Big Dog has been there the longest.
Cookie is the greediest with the snacks.
Lucky is just lucky someone hasn't killed him yet. And he takes reckless chances.

sometime's names mean something, and somtime's they don't mean squat!!
i've known a ton of gang bangers when i was younger, and sometime's dude's took names that just sounded kool or tough!
sometime's your name is given to you, sometime's you already have a name.
i had a buddy who got stabbed in the eye, when he was like 14, or 15, and he was blind in that eye. (he had a gold line that went directly across his eye, from the knife! it was actually pretty kool to look at!)
and his nick-name from day on was "dead-eye"
we had a fat guy named bone's.
and sometime's there just ain't no meaning behind the name.
now there was meaning behind my nick-name, but that's a story for another time.
