Guitar hero 3 or Rock band?

Ok. Im makin' my christmas list! First I wanted Guitar hero 3 on PS2. Well today I was reading gameinformer and they said Rock band will come out on PS2 also. Since Rock band has more stuff in the game I wanted to change my mind. Im still kinda stuck between the two. btw, I believe it said Rock band would come out on PS2 on Dec 18 2007. So I want you alls thoughts. Which game should I get? Which is better? Which would you perfer?

I would choose Guitar Hero 3. Rock band looks incredible, but it seems that it may get old after a few months. Guitar Hero will do the same, but it is much easier to pick up and play than Rock Band.

I like the concept of Rock band becuase they will let you create your own rocker and have groupies..schedule concert and play around the world. It makes you feel like a real rocker.

It looks like my fellow Warriors comrades are advising me to stick with Guitar hero 3. Thats just the type of info I was lookin' for. I mean Rock band cost too much...I'll just stick Guitar hero since its cheaper.

I'd go for Guitar Hero 3 (I haven't had a good play of the series) because Rock Band (if you decide to buy it) it costs more. Plus, I think you need friends....Guitar Hero is cooler anyway.  :p

^^Yeah Rock band cost like 200 and somthin' dollars. You actually have to buy all the instruments with the game?! Guitar hero 3 is only 80 dollars.
Maybe I should get Guitar hero 3 I'd probably get Rock band sometime in about 5 years! ::)

i got guitar hero 3, its really good. rock band isn't out here in the uk yet  but according to all the reviews, you should only buy it if you've got people to play with. its not as fun on your own and the guitar is a bit easier than guitar hero.

I have not played guitar hero but i have heared that they are pretty good games so i voted guitar hero.

Screw Rock band im getting Guitar hero. On the PS2 version of Rock band you can't create your own character so to hell with it.

Wow, I just couldn't believe this thread when I read it. Rock Band is one of the most fun games I've ever played. If you have friends to play it with, you can go all night and just have a blast. It makes you feel like you're in a real band. It's infinitely better than GH3.

I agree with CIC. Rock Band is a hell of a lot better than Guitar Hero 3 will ever be. If you were to get a Guitar Hero game, it should be Guitar Hero 2 anyway. The new guys totally messed up Guitar Hero 3 in a lot of ways. For example, a lot of songs are designed to be more difficult than fun, sacrificing the fun factor for waves of notes and absurd difficulty levels. At the same time, the star power phrases are so long that if you can get them, chances are you don't need the help of star power to beat the song.

I know you've probably got the game already, but seriously, Rock Band is a hundred times better than Guitar Hero 3 will ever be. Yeah, it's more expensive, but most good things are more expensive than their inferior relatives.

On the other hand, anything is better than Guitar Superstar...

I Think you made a good decision choosing GH3, i have it on Xbox360 and its a hell gun game  8)
Rock Band hasnt been realesed in Aus yet but it also sorta looks like a sorta take off of GH1,2,3 etc.
