Did they make warriors figures in 79?

Post by BaseballFury100 »

did anyone make warriors figs in 1979? it was so contreversial and whatnot, sombody must have scooped up the rights and produced a couple of ugly, stupid looking rubber figures. Like those old 70's WWF figures?

Yeah Scurvy Dog, I think there weren't too!!!
Anyway would that kinda figure really be a knockoff?
I mean, I suppose it'd be a rare and period piece!!! Well, what do you think about?

About BaseballFury100 question, to be sure, I checked out again "Wikipedia" The Warriors page-"merchandise"  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Warrio ... erchandise
First Warriors figures, obviously by Mezco Toyz, in 2005... well I think it's should be the final answer cause it says that: only one "those years" (till 2005) product is film's soundtrack (just in 1979) ... so... well, I think... 8)

I know they didn't make them, these guys or the film were not part of the mainstream that was the late 70's like Star Wars.

... and I'd add that those years were not good 4 "praising" any gang... I mean in '70-'80, as you know, Police was trying to stop that phenomenon so create any kinda Warriors or other gangs figures would have been a wrong business... could anyone from New York confirm or not it? 8)

There are absolutely no vintage Warriors figures. Mezco were the first to do it, and are continuing to do so.
