Home Alone and Santa Clause the Movie really helps with to get into the christmas spirit. Bad Santa is a brilliant movie, Elf was crap. The Santa Clause was good, but at the top of the list from when i was little is the Muppets Christmas Carol

Peices of April: katie Holmes (before she was brainwashed by tiny tom) tries to get her family together for christmas dinner in her rundown apartment.

My all time favourite has to be Gremlins. Christmas is always chaotic, and this film sums it up for me.

Got to mention A Wonderful life as well.

Scrooged (1988) - Home Alone 1/2 - Die Hard (Bruce Willis... is just the Best!!! WOW!!!)
... and I think they should re-make (but an excellent work... or nothing!!!) "It's a Wonderful Life"... it's just a Masterpiece!!! 8)

I also suggest, that some people might relate to the play "Rent", so watching the movie Rent during the holidays is good as well.

Basically most of what others have mentioned: A Christmas Story...Home Alone 1&2...Scrooged...

but one that hasn't been mentioned yet is Surviving Christmas with Ben Affleck and The Santa Clause with Tim Allen

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory isn't really considered a Christmas movie...

I would have to say home alone 2 it is a great Christmas movie i loved it when i first saw it 3 years ago great movie.
