The Orphans don't deserve to be a gang....

I would tend to agree except for Apache.  I would love to see him get drafted to the Warriors.  They could have taken him instead of Mercy.  Mercy was dead weight.  Apache would have helped them bop all the way back to C.I...the big Coney

Welcome to the forum. Im a big Orphans fan so I will disagree with them being the worst gang. I will agree that Apache (Jesse) would have made a great Warrior though. Mercy is a keeper she had what it takes to be first lady of the Warriors.

If I had to replace somebody on The Warriors with Apache it would be Rem. Sorry Rem fans, but I think Rem would have been great in the Jackson 5

I hate the Orphans, there just wannabes, I wish they just got put in there place by The Warriors on that night. I also dislike the Hi-Hats, there uniforms are just stupid, it doesn't make them look hard or anything, they just look soft. I don't really like the Boppers either, they look like they care more about how cool they look then how good they can bop.

I have to disagree with that. Mercy was needed to humanize Swan. She brought out his personality during the night, and ultimately, when they arrive at Stillwell Avenue, and he looks out over the houses and the city, I think he is seeing the futility of it all. ("This is what we fought all night to get back to?")

When he talks about leaving, he looks at Mercy, and the look in his eyes says "C'mon baby, let's get out of here and make a better life somewhere else".

To side-step for a sec, I've heard a couple of people say that if Ajax had taken over the leadership of the Warriors, he more than likely would have gotten everybody killed.  Now, with a psycho like Luther... same thing, as what most likely wound up happening at Coney to him and his gang.  I think the Rogues were more of a comic relief than anything.

A lot of the gangs you don't really get to witness what they are all about when watching the movie. However if you were to play the game you encounter a lot of weak gangs. If we were talking about the movie I would have to go with the Orphans as they are not even in the network. Even the Lizzies are superior to them as they at least attempted to fight. If we are talking about the game the Hi-Hats are pretty pathetic it seems in their nature.

yep, it took a while for that, largely UK-inspired look, to make it over here - missed it by a just a few years

perhaps the remake will recitfy this!
