I did the first topic "what would you like to see"....come on boppers get in on this. I spoke to Derek again and he and the artist are both native New Yorkers who are fans of the movie. Sounds like they will do it justice....Stay tuned Boppers.....Stay tuned!

Now We can get a different Point of View,a New prespective
for my favorite crew.
Whoever gets the comic book first,MUST post up here with scans A.S.A.P.

From the Dabel Bro site today Aug 12th:

" First up is the announcement that Dabel Brothers Publishing will be releasing the comic book adaptation of the cult movie classic THE WARRIORS.  Following that we will be releasing a series of spin-off titles set in and based on The Warriors universe.  To say that we are excited about this would be an understatement."

What would i like to see ????????................these mags on the shelf ! right now.
Got to be careful with what happens after the ending that we've all come to know so well. We have all thought what becomes or happens to the characters 'afterwords', but that in my opinion needs careful thinking about.
Would be great to see more about the other gangs in the lead up to the conclave, maybe even more filling out of the characters in the daytime leading uo to the conclave. Did they have regular day jobs? etc.
Thanks for the great and uplifting news. The best news i could get right now is how i can get hold of these eagerly anticipated items.TheSurgeon

good comments. Seems we all want to see other gangs leading up to the conclave. I want to see what exactly the WARRIORS did right before they got on that train from Coney to the BX.LIER ONE

Some more news on the comic. There is a post @ DABEL BROS forum "Questions regarding the comic". I posted some questions and DEREK Head of Publishing wrote back. See below:

Here are my questions:

1) Do you have distribution numbers yet?

We won't have those until we solicit the comics in the retail catalogue called Previews.

2) Will they be available in most major comic book stores?

Yes they will be. When the solicitations come out I will give you guys the order number you need to order the comics. Most of you might want to do preorders with your local shops when I get you that number in a couple of months.

Hey Swan, why not sign up and ask Derek all your questions? He will be very helpful and answers emails as well.

In regards to Swans question and to other members; your best option is to find your nearest comic book store and ask them to keep an eye open for it and order it in for you once its been solicited in previews.  Previews usually shows whats coming out 3 months before it hits the shelves.  Most comic book stores will be more than happy to mail your order if you dont live local.  Show your interest before the comic is released, as it may get overlooked and not ordered.

I'm surprised there has not been more forum members signing up and showing interest on the dabelbrothers site.  This is your best oportunity to voice your opinions on what you would like to see and see your ideas fleshed out.
