recession
Re: recession
I agree bro....I'm also concerned about all the waste that goes on in the U.S. government. I heard a stat the other day that said out of the 2.9 trillion dollars the U.S. government brings in each year in taxes it is estimated that 1 trillion is wasted. That drives me crazy knowing that there are hungry children in this country and in the rest of the world that could be helped by that money and maybe the economy would be doing a lot better if it wasn't for the waste. I think the U.S. gov needs to pass a law that the budget needs to be balanced every year and no more wasting money like they have been doing.
Re: recession
'Recession'? Don't know what it means to be honest.
'Credit Crunch'? No idea.
All I know is the greedy are greedier, that I work all the hours under the sun just so I can be taxed and double taxed then taxed again for being taxed, that after all my hard work my lazy next door neighbour and his fat girlfriend and three kids get everything paid for them, that in spite of how expensive everything is I'm constantly being told to buy stuff wherever I turn whether I like it or not and that the rent, the heating and my tax tax of tax has gone up. Too much.
To me, the words 'Great' and 'Britain' should have announced their divorce AGES ago.

I'm not too worried. I work for Tesco, and we're slowly taking over the world .
I agree with Lippy about the less desirable element (how can I politely put it) taking too much advantage of the benefits system. The more I see of those, the more I start to think China had the best idea when it comes to offspring.
Its always been the same; The honest working class man takes a kick to the groin so fat cats can get richer and the lazy can avoid work longer.
Lets change our jobs and become taxmen. No redundancies in that vocation for the forseeable future.

Re: recession
I work for UPS and have a fairly secure (but low paying) job. Now that another shipping company, DHL, is terminating its United States operations, our business can only go up because they sent most of their customers our way.
As for taxes, it's insane that they tax us so much. I pay Federal, State, and City tax. With all this money being taken from me, I'm only getting 73 cents for every dollar I earn. That other 27 cents really adds up. Instead of getting $430 in my paycheck, I get about $315. Almost $6,000 a year! The tax money isn't even being used for anything productive.

I work in education and this happens a lot. Politicians are always either promising to add more money to education or cutting money from education. But this time it looks like we will be in tough times for a few years. But as far as the human race blowing it, I think we will survive. The job market will suck balls and other problems will start like drugs, gangs and theft. Nothing new to the human race.
