I miss:
- the amount of freedom we had before 9/11
- those old wooden X-shaped turnstiles in the NY subway
- when the US rail system was made up of many rr companies, thus giving us colorful trains
- not having to listen to those stupid recordings they have in automatic phone message systems
- when most of our products were made here in this country
- Saturday morning Looney Tunes

I miss when I was a kid, I do a lot of good things, didn't study and go to school (
i'm just joking), so... those years was great to me. Some people wouldn't say i'm nostalgic but yes, I am. Not too much.

^^^^
One example comes to mind.....
I'm into railroads BIG time. I like watching trains. I'm also into photography. Early last year, I was at this major freight yard just south of Albany (NY) before the sun came up. Railfans always go there to watch and photograph trains.
Just for my personal collection, I only wanted to take nighttime pictures of the locomotive area. This one young cop comes along and gives me a bad time. He tells me CSX is a government-owned rr, which is wrong. It's privately-owned. Took it as a scare tactic. He escorted me out of the borough.
Boy, oh boy, if only I had been born 20 yrs earlier than I was.

Well this has nothing to do with anything you guys would know. Though what I miss is going to my grandmas in the morning. There I would eat candy, lucky charms or another good cereal and play SNES. After doing this for awhile I would go outside with my grandma and walk the neighborhood. Then come back in and watch Rockos Modern Life, Doug, Are you afraid of the dark, and rugrats.

One thing I really miss.... visiting my grandparents at their German style stucco house in shady (protected-by-trees-type shady, now) Scotia, NY Loved it there.
Scotia is right across the Mohawk R. from where Mercy was born (Schenectady)
