they cant be knocking those down to!

CYCLONE and WONDER WHEEL are landmarks so those ar staying. Everything else (the parks around them) are in the process of being towrn down. Thats why I suggested somewhere in Manhatten.

Wow, haven't been on here in a while. Its nice to see the conclave progressing, I'd be down for any day really but preferably August or October when the film festival is on. There'd be a far better chance of cast attending. Has anyone emailed anyone from the movie to get a reaction?

Sorry I've not been around recently. It's been a bit hectic at home and I am also organising a big event as part of my real job and so I have been looking to see when that is so the dates don't clash.

I will use August 29th as my base (I know I can't please everyone!) and will now look at finding a venue. I don't think there will be anywhere suitable in Coney Island, so I think the main event will be closer to Central NYC, with a second ay visiting locations and going to Coney.

The above site is where they hold BIG APPLE CON. It is right across the street from Penn Station in the middle of NYC. There are many trains that come in to Penn. It has a CONTACT and FLOOR PLANS. There is enought room, not only to have dealers, but also panels, screenings and an autograph area. The actors are familiar with the venue as most of them were at BIG APPLE CON a few years ago. As I said, I do not think we will find somewhere in Coney as they are "re-modeling" the area.

When everyone is saying they are "remodeling". What exactly are they doing to Coney?

They are basically tearing down EVERYTHING along the boardwalk (except WONDER WHEEL, PARACHUTE JUMP and CYCLONE those are LANDMARKS) and re-doing the WHOLE thing. NEW amusement parks, indoor water park, conference center, new hotels, shops apartments. A WHOLE re-imaging of old coney

Aww that sucks this means I only saw the old Coney once in 4th grade. Now I guess I wont be able to see it at all.

I know thorasic park has completley gone and they are still ripping up astroland kind of sad really they are ruining 100 years of nice history and turning it into a glass mall or something.
