Thanks for the replies, great stuff.

So if I stay around the theme park area it sounds like it's fairly safe, I don't plan to go anywhere other than the theme park are so that sounds good to me.

So the Stillwell Avenue station is right next to the Theme Park?

This is the station to get off at?

Thinking about it I suppose it's a common place for tourists and day visitors.

Stillwell Station is the last stop - and you will be able to see the theme park from the train.  The theme park, the shops, are all literally 3 minutes from the train station - just across the street. 

If anything, just follow the crowd as you exit the train, more than likely they are headed toward Surf Avenue.  And when I went - there were always 2 cops at the train station entrance. 

Make sure you make it to the Bowery - that's where the Rogues followed the Warriors.  It's still has the look.

When you get off the subway, go out the main entrance. That's Surf Av.  Right in front of you is Popeye's.  Across the street from that is the Original Nathan's Hot Dogs. This is Stillwell that crosses Surf. Walk one block down Stillwell towards the beach.  Look to your left down Bowery and you'll recognize it.  The Rogues turned onto Bowery off 12th.
