Mortal Kombat for me. I like Tekken as well, but MK takes it!

Mortal Kombat takes the cake.
Memorable characters, and the early games were amazing, and Johnny Cage!!!

Well I'm not sure, both games are good. I played Tekken when I was a little, and Mortal too. Tekken have better graphic for me, but Mortal Combat have great characters (Sub and Scorpion are my favourite
). I would say - both games are good for me.

Re: Tekken vs mortal kombat
Looking thru rose tinted glasses, I liked the mortal kombat games when they first came out; but they havn't stood the test of time. Imo, the upgrade to a 3d fighting platform didn't work for me. Tekken was/is an easier game to pick up and I don't get finger cramps with that series. Tekken's animation was always more fluid. I like how both franchises were "inspired" by real martial arts actors for their choice of fighters. Tekken gets my vote, but i'll have to give a shout out for virtua fighter as well. I'm an old skool sega fan.

Tekken. I put a lot of time into playing that game, and Paul is the best - taking out people with one punch can't be beat.
That said - how about a Warriors version of either MK or Tekken? Maybe have Cyrus as the top-level boss, with Masai and Cleon as sub-bosses? If you had even just 16 characters, that would be 9 Warriors, 2 Gramercy Riffs - and 5 random others - perhaps Luther, one Baseball Fury, one Bopper, one Hi-Hat, one Hurricane, and Sully?
