The Scout [Short Poem // story]

Post by WestsideBopper »

Please leave me some feed back and let me know what you think

"When the sun comes up,
and I let my hair down, I smile,
for I have no reason to frown.

I look in the mirror,
and what do I see? The face of a Warrior,
staring back at me.

I dress myself for my daily life,
paint my eyes and lips,
looking sharp as a knife.

Out on the street,
there are many dangers I will soon meet;
many strangers, I will soon greet.

It is my job to watch, and wait.
Enemies are near,
and war is our fate.

I prepare myself, and go outside,
watching and waiting,
with no where to hide.

I take mental notes,
as people pass me by,
I may not gain information, but I have to try.

I hide in the shadows when nightfall comes,
the air is filled with city sounds,
drunks, junkies, and bums.

When the clock strikes midnight,
its back to the hide out,
to give the boys the insight.

They'll ask me "Whats the word on the street?",
and if there is nothing to tell,
my day is complete. "
just soldier and keep your mouth shut

i'm diggin' it
this part in particular
When the clock strikes midnight,
its back to the hide out,
to give the boys the insight.
good werk

reminds me of a massive attack lyric
"i quietly observe standin' in my space
it's a devious days they call the rat race
it's a concrete jungle, evil in the town
weebles, wobble, occasional squabble
but we're happy when the bomb drops down"
born in the 80s
raised in the 90s
i keep it 100
