The broad side of the camera looks like somebody in the dark wearing a giant white bandit's mask.  Now, that would be startling if that were part of a gang's colors!

I bet their turf is Broadway and instead of bopping they challenge their opponents to a sing-off.

Bingo, 4nik8.  You hit the nail on the head.

Your vision of a dream guy is now a vest-wearing, bad mouthed, disrespectful-to-women, reckless, rumbling man who could be a potential threat to your life simply because he's in a gang.
