70's NYC?

I am tottally obsessed with 70's NYC from the look and feel of the city to everything that happened in this time. Is there any movies, documentaries, books, etc on the subject of 70's NYC? All I got so far is Taxi Driver, and the warriors. Soo any help would be greatly appreciated.

Its been mentioned a few times on the boards already, but go on Youtube and look for Style Wars. It's a doc about 70's/early eighties graffitti in NY and theres a few shots of a tag that appears on the promo pics for the warriors.

Having lived through it, i can say it's one era (time AND place) that really does live up to all the hype

Thanks a ton man and yea it does seem like it was a crazy time to live in. If you guys get a chance check this out I watched it on tv one night and loved it. Though I have yet to see it on tv again.

how can you say the godfather?

thats set in like the 40s/50s ?

as for style wars i will have to check that out having seen beat this and wild style... i found it on youtube the very first shot reminded me of the start of the warriors.. but ill have to watch it all another time

In Godspell, one scene showed the group dancing on the roof of one of the twin towers while it was still under construction.
