Just a question, why a TWILL vest and not leather?

Ive been looking for a leather vest for a while, but Im 15 and dont have a job so theres not many quality leather vests that I can afford haha plus I thought it might be kind of fun making one (Im from Iowa, I needed something to do ::))

Just asking. I think it could be kind of cool. You need regular fabric dye.  You can get them at WALMART or ant arts & craft stores. Personally I would go with an orange/brown color. With the vest being a white color, you can dye it whatever color you like. I would first do the orangy color and spot dye the brown.

I mean use the brown in certain spots. If you look at screen shots the vests are darker in certain spots. I would use a sponge after I fully dye the vest to add the brown. That is just me. Good luck. Post picks of your progress.

The dirty orange colour is the way to go.  The dye job turned out well.

That second picture looks like what happened to my last victim.

Wait, what?

Murder jokes aside, what the heck is that?

I knew it was just a matter of time before someone went there! you ever think the hands are a bit too "aged" or "feminine" for a 15 y/o boy? haha that would be my grandmother, the only person i know that can sew!
On a separate note, i will be trying to do the black piping this week, will post more pictures.
