Why does it say on the rockstar website 60,000 strong????

In the movie wasn't it 100,000 strong??? to me that seems kinda weird....

They're going by the math Cyrus gave in his speech in the movie.

which is 9 x 200 = 20,000 (9 delegates from a hundred gangs, and there's over a hundred more)

40,000 including Affiliates, 20,000 more not organised but ready to fight. 60,000 soldiers.

So, Rockstar's made its first blunder. This is unacceptable. Fans everywhere are outraged and out for blood.

I'm sure Cyrus' speech will remain intact in the game, seeing as they're ripping it straight from the movie, which is what really matters.

I think he's assuming 100 members in each gang. 100 x 200= 20,000.
Remember, the nine at the meeting were only representatives.

I swear that when I watched the full version of the cut scene from the film, there was some dodgy cutting as he said 60,000 soldiers. It made me wonder at the time but quickly forgot as I was in awe over the game. Since they cut the bit about affiliates and 9 delegates and the number of gangs, they could have used the correct numbers!

I guess Cyrus didn't count the unorganized members, since that is just regular people. So yeah, 60,000 seems right.

Actually, it was "40,000, counting affiliates", so that's the original 20,000 hardcore members, plus 20,000 affiliates, to make 40,000.
