There will be FOUR (yes, you heard right (well... heard, if yer reading out loud like a freak, that is) FOUR) meetings for board members (plus anyone else we can get) wrapped around the dates and times of the 2010 NY Comic CON

Friday, October 8, 2010 -- 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Saturday, October 9, 2010 -- 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday, October 10, 2010 -- 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Therefore, the meetings will be (this is, of course, subject to change as we get closer):

Friday 11:00 AM
Friday 7:30 PM
Saturday 7:30 PM
Sunday 5:30 PM (tearful goodbye)

Depending on weather, we may take excursions around the city following the Warriors path (this may be especially interesting for out-of-towners, who are less than familiar with NYC!)

I'll be there.... but not then. I get out to NYC at least once a year, and this year it won't be in the fall - possibly early summer.

I don't know that it really matters, as there is public transportaion available from all the major airports, into NYC

I'd say whichever airline gets you the best deal, just use that airport

Newark is probably the most expensive, or at least has been every time I've checked. I fly to NYC at least once a year. La Guardia and JFK are about the same, or at least pretty close to each other. Do a search on Yahoo and have them check surrounding airports. That way you'll know for sure.

Just a little info. There was talk for a while that WIZARD;S BIG APPLE COMIC CON & NYCC would be on the same weekend. WIZARD has changed the dates of theirs (guess they didn't want to compete with NYCC) to October 1-3 @ NY PENN PAVILION. BIG APPLE has had members of the WARRIORS cast in the past, so keep posted.

Ok so back to the subject. We should all who plan to go contact the organizers of the cons ( both NYCC & WIZARD NYC are that weekend). Maybe we can have an organized event at one of the cons. It would be a cool way (besides the awsome pizza parties that 4nik has put together) for us to get together and it would be good to get more people interested in the site.

I'll be amazed if the Big Apple (wizard) keeps that date - should be interesting!

I emailed Matt Beckoff (who organized the Coney Island event) to see if he knows if there's to be any Warriors involvement...

 

You sure did. I think we all figured WIZARD couldn't compete with NYCC. Having been to both, there is no comparison.
