Rizzoli Wall Calendar Based On Iconic Gang Film


High-quality publisher Rizzoli, a Paramount Licensing licensee, is producing a 2011 wall calendar based on THE WARRIORS, capping off the film’s 30th anniversary year.  With a strong fan base and multiple licensees in apparel, publishing and collectibles, THE WARRIORS continues strong into its fourth decade of popularity and influence.

Shipping to stores in July, 2010, it will be available wherever fine calendars and books are sold.  The suggested retail price is $13.99.

Based on the classic novel by Sol Yurick, THE WARRIORS TELLS THE STORY OF A New York gang of the same name, framed for killing a rival gang leader who tried to unite all gangs in the area.  The film chronicles their journey back to their home turf in Coney Island as they travel through hostile gang territory.

Thanks 4nik8.  I couldn't get the link to work on my old machine.
Is it possible that all the images will be from production photo's rather than screen grabs?  It'll be nice to have some decent sized hi-res prints, so it's a good buy IMO

How long before somebody bungs the prints in a $2 frame then slaps them on ebay for $10 a pop and claim its a rare item?

Pre-ordered mine from AMAZON just so I don't forget about it. I am glad the merch is still coming (see my rant in the #3 comic thread) but I wish it was better items. Guess we shouldn't complain.

OR... Warriors 2011 could just be a reference to its being a calendar for, ya know, 2011

Got mine today. Just glad to have a WARRIORS calendar. It is all pics of THE WARRIORS and none of the other gangs. You do get a big look at some of the buckles. Some of the printing is messed up, but I think it is supposed to be like that. Glad i picked it up.
