Re: What do wish would go away?
Political lies from both Democrats and Republicans. Both sides are deliberately keeping the public divided using fear-mongering - because they know enough voters are disenfranchised to start looking to other candidates. Third-party candidates are becoming a real threat, so politicians are turning up the heat on some issues, telling voters "if they win, this will happen!"
Fortunately, enough voters on both sides are starting to see through it. Hopefully, we will soon see the end of the two-party system.

What exactly are you suggesting? That you wish the fact that we merely THINK we have a choice would go away, and that we actually would indeed have a choice? Or are you commenting that what we have right now is the illusion of choice?4nik8 wrote: the illusion of choice
I agree that it is an illusion - right now. "America: From Freedom to Fascism" by Tony Russo is an excellent film that takes this to greater depths.
In order to take this back to its original topic - I wish political corruption without consequence would go away. If the right dominoes fall, all of them will.

heh - as soon as I posted, i recognized that it was not clear that i was following up on Lion's remarks regarding the two-party system, so my first thought was that I should go back an modify my post to remove the ambiguityScurvy Dog wrote:What exactly are you suggesting? This was very quickly followed by my second thought, that no one pays attention to what i post anyway!

Vuvuzelas? Then you'd really hate hearing Europe's "The Final Countdown" being played on those, right? I guess it's been done, and is available on youtube.

Those teenage girls who wear white short-shorts with PINK spelled on the butt with their Ugg boots and their giant Coach bags and Hollister t-shirts and big clunky silver heart necklaces who wear their bleached hair in a ponytail on top of their head so you can see their brown roots, along with their awful tans and badly applied eyeliner and fake nails who throw up gang signs and pucker their lips in MySpace mirror pics, list The Notebook as their favorite movie, listen to nothing but whatever MTV throws at them and talk too loudly in public with their idiot boyfriends and their loud, identical brand-name-clothes-horse friends and think they’re SO cute and SO crazy.
