Although the lack of capitalisation of the letter "a" makes it a little confusing; it's not slang. "A level" is standard of exams. Unsure what the stateside equivalent is but it's place in the exam heirarchy sits between compulsory final school year exams and a college degree.

finally read Turf #2, really good. no more warriors references. i had forgotten that the aliens were crash landing in coney island but i didnt notce anymore warriors stuff after the wonder wheel on the cover

My friend bought the first 2 episodes of Turf from a huge Forbidden Planet in London, both covers are signed by Jonathan Ross, but they still cost the cover price.
I've just started reading a comic called DMZ, kinda like Escape From New York but without a badass anti hero, well upto now anyway, it's pretty cool though.

yeah you can get those signed ones cheap, tempted myself. maybe becus my #1 got creased i can spare the money for another.
