anyway, i dunno... cause those 'salopettes' (:P) are of different shapes and stuff, but that thing is always there on everyone of them i guess. to me, that could be a logo too. because if u see, if u wanna put a logo on the back, like many of the other gangs, in this case, a lot of room is occupied by those... salopette things, or how u call it.. : P XD and the only place to put a logo, is really in there, and of course it cannot be a very big one, also because theres less room on some of those salopette things : P

To make things slightly more confusing, on this side of the pond, we generally refer to overalls as the same type of clothing that Michael Myers wears in the Halloween films.

It's just branding for sure, when the punk on roller skates goes to open the toilet stall you can clearly see it says LEE on the back of his dungaree's.
