I don't think you need another colour for the sword hilt, it looks good as it is.

I'm happy with how the design worked out now it's no longer on paper. I might start a bigger version if theres no update from SM09. I'm sticking to the changed angular mouth shape of this version.

What size are you going with? I've just put a 12" vinyl on the back of a jacket and that looked about right to me, still leaving enough space for the arm coming out of the circle.

I think 12 inch will be a good size. It'll make the lettering more identifiable with increased size. A silver thread will work well if a fully embroided patch ever gets made.

Looks awsome 9th. Good to see one made. I agree, we have been waiting SO LONG, I don't think SM is going to make it.

Nice find. This is exactly what we're looking for. Shame about the price though. The last one sold for $35. Quite a big difference. Even though it's (supposedly) a collectors item, I don't want to be paying top dollar if i'm going to be removing parts of it and customising it. The photo's will come in handy for reference if we end up taking the replica route.

Doing some research on the jackets, it seems these were tour jackets made by JAMES WATKINS. Not only CORVETTE, but other car companies and some had states. There is an article here about the maker. They came out about the time of filming @ a men's retailer for about $65. There was 5,000 sold by BLOOMINGDALES in NY, so the costume designer could have bought them on the cheap.. I still think there has to be a company that mass produced almost the same jackets without the car stuff on it. It's a cool article:

Here is one for AC DELCO. It has blue trim instead of the black. Again, over $200.
