I agree with ninth delegate that "at the very least" the vest/s are all original. And though I would admit to myself as a novice in this area, I have my own feelings about the patches and lettering on these vests. I would feel with the numerous (and there were indeed plenty) costumes and wardrobe used for that filming that quality control for such things as patches or gang lettering might not have been spot on perfect from jacket to jacket. May it be possible that such areas as let's say the Warriors lettering might have had the slightest variations in where each letter was placed? Could there have been closer cropped cutouts of the Warriors affixed emblem/patch? I would think it possible that there might be. It's very hard to tell. However, I have a link that gives a clear shot of one of the Warriors vests: http://clothesonfilm.com/the-warriors-l ... vest/1010/
This appears to be Swan in the top photo, when looking at that shot, at the very least the lettering on the vest as it's stitched on appears to not be correct with exactly how the letters of the Warriors are placed on any of the four vests we've seen come up. Howover even though the lettering and possible the patches all appear to be off from the vests that have come up for auction in the last 2/3 years, the piping and such on these vests all appear to be correct. Golden Closet even gives a detailed explanation as to the patches on Platos/Rembrandts vest being replaced as did even Profiles in History on their latest Cochise vest. Which is why I would agree with ninth delegate that the vests themselves are all genuine. And it's very possible that being these were used in other productions as was the norm back then with the studios, that all original patches were removed and these all sport replica patches and Warriors lettering. One can possibly fathom that even a mere twist or turn of an actor during the course of the filming can make the lettering or patch seem a bit off as well from what we're looking at directly on the vests that have come up for sale. Just my two cents into it all.

I don't think there's any doubt that the vest is real, but the seller says the patches are original aswell. I myself doubt they are.

One would wonder if there even is an original Warriors Patch remaining from the film. Pretty much these vests were put into use for other productions, so it's quite possible that the studio destroyed the patches since they were movie specific to the Warriors, and not for other films. Since the vests that have come up for sale "though original" all seem to sport non original patch/emblems. If that's the case then it is possible for an authentic patch of "The Warriors", to be as or even more valuable then the even the vests or the severel pieces of screen-used wardrobe that have come up for auction thus far. Just a thought.

I wonder how many production crew jackets were made and how many still exist? Those orange jackets had the same patches on the back.

As we discussed on this thread:

...I don't believe there ever were "crew jackets"

I contacted a place to see what their ORANGE SATIN JACKET looks like and how much it costs. I think we could replicate the "crew" jacket very easily. It was an ORANGE satin jacket (cuffs etc all orange) with the ROCKER and WAR-BIRD on back. Anyone know what was on the front? I don't remember there being a pic of the front. The original pic is gone. If anyone still has it, can you please re-post it?

I don't think the crew jackets were real either, i can't see any of the crew wearing them in any pics.

Yet he uses this site as a reference to say they are real/legit patches??? Come on! If he is reading this, don't come here to research your item then.

What do you do when your auction for $15,000 doesn't sell, after multiple listings? Why, raise the price of course!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... SS:US:1123

It's now $17,000!

Although, he did add a Make Offer option...
