It would be hard to part with 'em. I just thought it would be sweet for someone to have the whole Warriors ensemble, (vest, pants, boots). I don't think any collector has the full Warriors wardrobe for any specific character and I'd be pretty certain the person who purchased the vest at Profiles in History would probably like to have Swans pants and boots to complete Michael Becks outfit. For right now I'm hanging onto them but I didn't know you really had interest, so should I decide to sell I'll give you a shout out on the site if I do decide to part with them. I still have them stored "not displayed", so I really gotta do something for making them viewable. And the suede pants definitely could use a cleaning, unless I leave the dirt undisturbed, (smirk).

Thanks NS!

The thing is, I have a vest. Admittedly, not Swan's, but one of Cochese's (sic), but I won't tell anyone if you don't? ;) I could just pretend it's all the same character, right? ;)

Yeah, I guess once you showed the complete wardrobe off together who would ever know or care what character wore what garment because it would look so SWEET!! How about I loan them out to you for half a year and then you loan me the vest for the other half. At least we can say for a short time that our wardrobe is complete, "snicker". Cochese's pants, boots and belt was sold by Golden Closet several years ago, "now you could have used that to compliment your "awesome" vest. Seems like original Warriors screen used wardrobe is still pretty hot because I honestly did not think Swans vest would hit $15,000. Especially with a 28% buyers premium tacked onto the total.

Yeah, that auction house commission was quite a stinger, wasn't it?! However, $15K is about the going rate for a "complete", authentic vest.

Actually, I was the one who arranged the sale of Cochise's pants, boots and belt to Golden Closet and have regretted it ever since! Although, I do have one of his necklaces and armbands :o

Anyway, please let me know if you ever decide to sell…

Well Cochese, You might not believe this but I own those as well! No kidding it was the 1st big money wardrobe I ever purchased. I can't believe you arranged the sale! Some kind of karma goin' on here, wouldn't ya say? Now, the only reason I never mentioned owning that particular wardobe to you or anyone here was because I did not want to sound like I was bragging about all that I owned, (I own this, I own that, it can get some other folks feathers ruffled). But man, that is really too nuts about you arranging the prior sale of them through Golden Closet and Breanna.
It as well sits stored away, so I certainly haven't made the best of what I have. So I'm prioritizuing your name at the top of the list should I decide to sell either outfit, as you definitely are a true fellow collector who would prize them as much as I do.
If I had the mula I would have "loved" to have gotten my hands on Swans vest. Though I'll tell ya of all the characters I would like to own something Warriors related it would have to be James Remar "Ajax". His rough attitude and quotes in the film hooked me onto the movie. I wonder if anything of his Warriors wardrobe has ever even come up for sale?

That's totally mad!! :D COOL!!

According to some other posts on this forum, Jamed Remar gave his belt to his son. I believe his vest got nicked right our of his own wardrobe, at a house party he once held!

Are you UK based by any chance?

Would you mind telling us how much you paid for David's wardrobe from Golden Closet, please? You can PM me, if you prefer… Would you believe that when I asked Breanna, she wouldn't even tell me, even though it was me that arranged the sale! :(

THE BEST!

Well my friend, I believe I did overpay in comparison to Swans bottom wardrobe. I believe she wanted $5,000-$6,000 or roundabout at the start. I ended up paying $4500 which at the time I was okay with as I couldn't believe anything Warriors related was on the market for sale, plus she allowed my wife and I to pay in installments, (I'm lucky the wife is a Warriors fan as well). Golden Closet had Rembrandts vest as well at the time but wanted something like $15,000 or more for that, "way out of my budget". I figure if I ever shadow-box the two pieces of wardrobe together (Michael and David's) with some lobby cards and the like it might make for quite a wicked display. Though it would have to be in one heck-of-a large frame!
I'm surprised that Breanna wouldn't even tell "you" what the final price was, but now you know my friend. Just don't beat on me for payin' so high as I know I did. That's some story about Remar getting his vest jacked out of his own house. Nice bunch of friends he's got there! If Remar ever sees it up for sale he'll probably pull an Ajax attack on the seller. Ohhh yeah, I'm a US based Yankee.

Actually, you did VERY well!! We sold it to Breanna for US$5K, so you actually got a bit of a bargain!! :D Not sure why she'd sell it for less than what she paid it?? Maybe that's why she wouldn't tell me - she was a little embarrassed  , HA! You're right though, they were a bit pricey compared to Swan's, but I think Cochise's is more iconic, no? Anyway, if you ever need the dough, I'm happy to pay you, what you paid for 'em!

Awesome, that's good news to hear, as I thought I got roughed up a bit on price. I think why Breanna might have given in a bit is the fact that they went unsold at Profiles in History just prior, (their minimum bid was like $5,000 to $6,000 plus 28%). So when she didn't have an immediate sale therein, maybe she felt she did not want to hold onto them too long. But that's just a hunch as Golden Closet is usually a bit pricey, but they have good material that's tough to find from the earlier film genre. If you have any more information on background history on them feel free to PM me with such, as you can never have to much provenance with such pieces of memorabilia. I'm glad to have been able to hook up with a fellow Warriors wardrobe fanatic , (smirk). "Should I decide to sell, you will certainly be notified". Yeah, I think Cochise's 'drobe is more iconic and he had the better outfit of any of his fellow Warriors, (best dressed gang member, ha, ha). I like your tag line...Don't f..k with the Wongs!... The Wanderers was another terrific movie which doesn't get its due. Gotta love them duckie boys and who can forget the Baldies. I grew up in NY as a kid, so this stuff hits home to me.

Provenance?? You want provenance?? I'll give you provenance!! ;) I sold the wardrobe to GC on behalf of my good mucker "Dave" - I believe you know him as "Cochise" ;) David sent the costume parts directly to GC, who sent them to you! They're all 100% genuine - don't worry! :D

"Outta sight"!! Well that's quite impressive to hear that you brokered the wardrobe for David to GC!! Glad that you told me that, thanks for all your help. Hmmm, haven't heard the term mucker much before, I'm a Yank, remember. Being you're his bud, might you kindly ask David to send 300 signed Warriors pics my way. I mean I wouldn't want to impose on the guy by asking for too many, ha, ha.
By the way if you like movies such as The Warriors and Wanderers, have you ever checked out Defiance with Jan Michael Vincent? It takes place in NY, late 70's/early 80's and while not quite as good as the aforementioned other movies it does have its moments.

HA! Don't you have his autograph yet?? I can get you one, if you need? He signed the Certificate Of Authenticity you should have.

I'm gonna check-out Defiance... Have you seen Rubble Kings, Flyin' Cut Sleeves and 80 Blocks From Tiffany? Those are a great set of documentaries!! They're all quite similar and tackle the same subject matter, but I love 'em all!!

Yes, I did get his COA along with the Golden Closet COA as well. But my friend what I really would like is a photo signed of him saying something like "Hope you're enjoyin' my wardrobe", David Harris AKA Cochese, The Warriors, or the same format with the inscription "gimme back my pants and boots". This way I can place it alongside with his outfit and it would look pretty awesome!! You could tell him I own the lower portion of his wardrobe, and I certainly wouldn't mind paying you or him for the for such a photo. I know it's a lot to ask, but if you have the means to do it, heck yeah let's go for it.

I never have seen those documentaries, but now you've peaked my interest to find em' and watch. When you find Defiance "make certain it's the one with Jan Michael Vincent", as there's another more contemporary movie with the same name, but a totally different story. Let me know if it's doable with Mr. Harris in regards to the photo. Again I would pay for it for his/your time.

Yeah, I've seen the other Defiance, HA! Do you want David to write your name on the photograph? If so, want him to use your forum handle or your real name? If so, what's your real name? You can PM me that, if you prefer… Also, I'll need an address for him to send you the photo?

Terrific, I owe ya for this! I sent ya a PM with my mailing info and such. Just let me know that you received such. Again, many thanks to you. When you see Defiance, let me know what you think. It's not on par with The Warriors, but it isn't half bad either.
